The previous episode ended with a shocker and highlights the black comedy aspects of this show. Father Jude's death is made to look like a suicide but we know he was murdered. Celine takes his body to Slough so he can be buried with his family but over in England Celine gets her own revelation.
In another astonishing move, General Gaines has had enough of the President and shoots him dead and tells the rest of the world the truth. Operation Saviour failed and he will die with them, the rest of the world panics.
Scotty finds out about being Sutton's children and that there is a place for them in a bunker in Slough. He and Gaines go to rescue Rhonda who having being found guilty of treason ends up in a cell next to Leanne. Gaines manages to use his rank to get Rhonda out but the guards know something is wrong when he tries to get Leanne released, Scotty gets shot in the mayhem.
Sutton also realises that two of her grandchildren were twins and Jamie and his family are offered a place in the bunker as well. Ariel though gets to Jamie, locks him in a bank vault and impersonates him. Enough to fool Jamie's adopted mum and Dave who incidentally plan to get married.
At least we are now heading for a climax but really the show would had improved a lot if Ariel was excised from the series by now. I know the show needs a villain but I have had enough of him already.
