REZilience is Canada's first indigenous zombie movie with a largely First Nations or Metis cast and crew including award-winning director of photography Bradley Trudeau and new star Remington Louie.
This was filmed as a "proof of concept", as the first twenty minutes of the upcoming feature film of the same title.
Homesteader zombies Marty Wilson and Gilbert Trudeau had photos for their wedding invitation taken by portrait photographer Patrick Gervais while in their makeup. This was unknown to the director who, several days later, had a dream that a zombie themed wedding had taken place on set.
REZilience was originally titled "The Darkest Dawn" until another unrelated zombie film liberated the name.
The entire community and volunteers from across Canada came together to support this "passion project".
