A happy connection between animation and storytelling. Portrait of a family, subjective at all, seductive and bitter, ironic and honest, interesting because it gives to the viewer support points to define to himself his relation with the members of his family. French in essence more in language, it is a well crafted short film.

Viewed as part of the lineup in the 2016 myFrenchfilmfestival.com contenders in competition.
Sunday lunch sees the lead battling a hangover while deciding whether/not he should make the appointment for a social lunch with his ordinary, amiable family.
A mom who wishes she were as young, a dad who wishes he could communicate while also holding the weekly lunch tradition together, and other family who think they know best, especially for our lead.
The style of animation resembles hand-drawn a lot, and goes off into flights of fancy, while keeping the palette consistent, and the artwork simple.
Well-done, especially in terms of the art trying to portray content.....
