The song is all that matters

STP's "Interstate Love Song" the song is freaking awesome. One of those tunes you hate it because it's too bloody short but you love it because it expresses countless sensations at the very same time. The clip...does not help the music, it's a tough sell, no wonder "Creep" or "Plush" became more well-known than this video.

What's it about? Well, we have a brief silent film style tribute involving a girl rejecting a big-nosed guy (your lies!), and that guy pops in running from time to time in between the video, whose main focus in on Scott Weiland and band performing the song on the top of a building close to the Million Dollar Hotel (it wasn't in that, actually); with minor moments involving Weiland and Robert De Leo making a duo - some hugging and kissing too, really cool.

A simple performance from the group would suit better, some nice shots, unusual angles and stuff. The idea shown here wasn't just that interesting - washed-out color effect, just blue and all...Didn't work all that much. So, the credit I'm giving to this piece is mostly because of the song, which I love. The sound is just perfect. And isn't just the true ideal in selling the band and the song? The music is what makes you follow the band, the lyrics takes you in with something, whatever it's in there. Huge thumbs up to this video, not what's in front of me but the sound and fury. 8/10
