Mel B spiced up her niece's life, big time.
The America's Got Talent judge embraced her Scary Spice roots while hosting a Spice Girls-themed party for her teenage niece, Tillie Thalia.
Mel took to Instagram on Friday to share pics from the epic night. In one photo, Tillie dresses up like her aunt in the Spice Girls' 1996 music video, "Wannabe," while holding two awards Mel and the group won, including a moonman trophy from MTV.
The 42-year-old singer joins in on the fun in another snap, wearing the glittery bodysuit she rocked when the Spice Girls performed at the 2012 Olympics Closing Ceremony in London.
"Spice party at my house boom hey 'can the real spice girl please stand up please stand up' yipppeee playing dress up with my niece @tillie_thalia in my 'Original' Spice get up," she captioned the photos. "#stillfits #girlpower #spicegirls #family #womenempoweringwomen #nextgeneration #90’s #oylimpics."

This Monday, Got Your 6 and Veterans in Media and Entertainment (Vme) partnered up with different studios and entertainment companies in Hollywood to launch a unique opportunity for military veterans: the Veteran Fellowship Program. The program is designed to offer veterans career development opportunities in different corporate and creative fields of the entertainment industry by hiring them to work with agencies, television networks, big studios, production companies, guilds, and unions.
Among the entertainment partners who have joined in this initiative are 21st Century Fox, HBO, CBS, DreamWorks Animation, Lionsgate, NBCUniversal, Paramount Pictures, Sony Pictures Entertainment, United Talent Agency, and Viacom, just to name a few.
“Making the leap from the Navy into an industry internship was a dizzying and pivotal moment in my life,” said Amy Gravitt, the Executive Vice President of Programming at HBO in a statement. “I’m proud to work at a company that is providing that...

Because the third time’s the charm, a new attempt at making a follow-up to “The Blair Witch Project” is in the works — this time on TV. As both 2000’s “Book of Shadows: Blair Witch 2” and last year’s “Blair Witch” proved to be disappointments, this small-screen venture both does and does not have to contend with high expectations. Eduardo Sánchez, who co-directed the original film, revealed the plans on the Diminishing Returns podcast.

David Fincher’s “Mindhunter” does many things right. It’s suspenseful, intriguing, and unsettling, all while being downright satisfying. As critics and fans alike have spent the past two weeks raving over Netflix’s 1970s crime drama, those same people have been scratching their heads over the same few scenes. Yes, we’re talking about Wendy’s nightly laundry-room excursions.

After moving to Virginia, Wendy Carr (played by Anna Torv) befriends a stray cat by leaving full cans of tuna on a ledge in her basement, where she and the audience hear few, yet noticeable offscreen meows. She continues to leave food out, and each can of tuna is licked clean by morning. At the end of the series, Wendy walks downstairs to find a full can covered in maggots. The audience can...

With shows like “Seal Team,” the canine contributions to overseas military efforts are starting to get recognized more in scripted series. “War Dog: A Soldier’s Best Friend” takes a look at the real-life dogs who helped inspire those stories.
HBO released the first trailer for this documentary, which premieres on Veterans Day, November 13. The film follows the relationships between three soldiers and their canine companions. With stories from Army Rangers and Special Operations officers, they’re tributes to the dogs who helped their human trainers return home safely. Away from the battlefield, the process of becoming one of these elite military dogs is just as selective as the process that picks the human complement of the forces they join.

Like other stories of wartime battles, these soldiers have heartfelt remembrances of fallen comrades.

Like a lot of other filmmakers, David Fincher almost directed a “Star Wars” movie. Long ago, before J.J. Abrams was tasked with helming “The Force Awakens,” the “Social Network” and “Seven” director was in contention to reawaken the franchise — but ultimately wasn’t interested in doing so. Among his reasons, he reveals in an Empire interview, were financial pressure and “the withering abuse of Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher.”

“I talked to [producer Kathleen Kennedy] about that and look, it’s a plum assignment,” Fincher says. I don’t know what’s worse: being George Lucas on the set of the first one where everyone’s going, ‘Alderaan? What the hell is this?’ Where everyone’s making fun, but I can’t imagine the kind of intestinal fortitude one has to have following up the success of these last two.

In times like this it’s crucial to be aware. Not only of what is happening currently, but to be fully aware is to consistently remember what has happened in the past. “Baltimore Rising,” an HBO documentary film directed by Sonja Sohn, will illuminate the death of Freddie Gray and the aftermath in the city of Baltimore.
Premiering on HBO and HBO Now on Nov. 20, “Baltimore Rising” seeks insight in those with concrete ties to the city of Baltimore: the police officers, activists, community leaders, and gang affiliates. The film explores how to make change after the community had erupted into “deep divisions between authorities and the community — and underscoring the urgent need for reconciliation.”

Among the many insights into the system itself, the doc will spotlight key figures in the community, ones particularly invested in the reconstruction of the city.

When Richard Turner says he has a “two or three pack-a-day habit,” he’s not talking about cigarettes. A self-described “card mechanic” (because he can fix a card game), Turner is almost never without a deck in his hands — at one point in “Dealt,” Luke Korem’s sweet but listless documentary about the legendary sleight-of-hand trickster, Turner’s wife recounts how she once caught him absently running a card over his fingers while they were having sex. Needless to say, the 63-year-old has put in his 10,000 hours more than 10 times over.
Also: He’s completely blind. And he might not want you to know that. The fact might sound self-evident — he’s a close-up magician! — but Turner never gives anything away. From the moment he saunters on stage at Hollywood’s Magic Castle, everything is part of the act, including the eye contact he appears to make with the intimate crowd.

Fans of Will & Grace will be in for a surprise when the comedy returns to NBC this fall. The titular characters, played by Eric McCormack and Debra Messing, will be single and childless.
When the hit sitcom concluded after nine seasons in the 2006 finale, McCormack’s character had a son with his partner, Vincent (played by Bobby Cannavale), while Messing was married to Leo (portrayed by Harry Connick Jr.) and raising a daughter.
“When the decision was made to bring the series back, we were like, ‘Well, we left them with kids, right?’ executive producer/creator David Kohan told Entertainment Weekly in an August 2 interview. “And if they have children, then it has to be about them being parents, ‘cause presumably it would be a priority in their lives. And if it wasn’t a priority in their lives,...

Some movies make you do a double-take when you realize what they’ve just done. They kill off the hero for absolutely no good reason when there was ample time for them to move out of the way or otherwise survive the current situation. At times it seems like writers just get bored and come up with a way to get the audience in a tizzy, or that’s just how the story is written and we need to accept it. In any case the idea of killing off one of the main characters that no one thinks should go at that

Last year’s “Blair Witch” didn’t exactly set the world on fire, but “The Blair Witch Project” continues to loom large in the mind of horror fans. Now Eduardo Sánchez, who co-directed the found-footage phenomenon, is set to return with “Griffin’s Ghost,” a psychological thriller written by the late Jack Zeman. The new movie is launching sales at the Cannes Film Festival this month.

After weeks of anticipation for the release of The Gospel Truth (April 14), it was just a matter of time until I traveled up to Brighton to see The King Blues on their latest tour.
Packed into the Haunt near the seafront, the venue was full of eager fans waiting to see Itch and the gang storm the stage and entertain us with a solid two hour set. Before they even got on stage we had the pleasure of meeting the main man himself at the merch stall, obviously we had to say hello and join the queue for a picture!
Not long after we had probably blinded the poor guy with the flash from my iPhone, we made our way to the bar for a couple of drinks before the set. Now, me and my friend Nick had both seen Tkb on various occasions, but our friends Rach and Jazz hadn’t.

Way back in 2008, before A Cure for Wellness was even a twinkle in his eye, Gore Verbinski had plans to direct the Bioshock movie.
