Slick action despite being overly bloody, and not having much more to offer but the slickness

With a very limited narrative, this short film is essentially two fight scenes in a large warehouse. The first is against a group of masked assailants, while the second is a much shorter "boss fight", which ironically is not as good as the opening main sequence. In terms of action it is pretty good; derivative of course, but still well presented so that it has a constant flow and allows the viewer to appreciate the physical movement and skills of the cast. I thought the blood and gore was overdone, mainly because for me I prefer the focus to be on the choreography rather than arm-severing and head-lopping; but then people loved Kill Bill #1 more than I, so probably there are other opinions available on that.

The second fight is a little disappointing as it is brief and doesn't escalate as hoped. The conclusion is not particularly strong, but this doesn't matter too much since the film never really gives you a reason to care about the characters or narrative, so any sort of twist or conclusion was going to have a similar impact – we are all here for the action only, and the film knows this. As such it is worth a glance for what it does well, but it never shakes off that generic feel, even if it is slickly done in the most part.
