In HKS, Menoes quotes a line from Samuel Beckett's, "Waiting for Godot". But he gets the line slightly wrong. This was a choice to show that he isn't omniscient but relies on his memory of experiences, just like everyone else.
HKS is based off the one-act, "Had We But World Enough And Time". The one-act was written & directed by Jonathan Browning and starred Brian Shortall & David Alfano. Created for "There in Ten", an event in Los Angeles, the play was to be presented twice on a single night and that was it. The performances took place on November 14, 2014, to two sold out audiences.
