Effective lesbian soap opera

Warning: Spoilers
Lily Cade moves from her edgy film style to more traditional approach in "The Muse", which benefits from her well-written, often clever script as opposed to the usual improvised dialog.

Picture opens with our drunken auteur answering the door, greeting ex-girlfriend Amber Rayne who's there to get money owed her. Cade laughs it off, but casually invites Amber for a 3-way with current girlfriend, cute Chloe Lynn.

Annabelle Lee guests briefly merely as a voice on the radio giving local gossip news, announcing impending divorce of high-profile producer Linda (Missy Martinez) and artist Sophia (Ela Darling). Cade hatches a scheme to have Sarah (Chloe) work as a model for Sophia in order for them to steal all her money when Sophia falls for the young beauty on the rebound.

Elegant Alexandra does hire beautiful Chloe, who assumes the pseudonym of Klio. A month passes and by now Klio has a crush on Sophia, not part of the plan. Missy visits Alexandra to pick up some stuff and their chat has an amusing reference to the tabloids: "Remember when they printed you were pregnant with Zachary Quinto's love child?". She invites Missy to a gallery party at the house, with more amusing banter, as when a guy asks Thelma (Sleaze) "are you an artist?", and she replies "sort of", as she ostentatiously scratches her very hairy leg.

Missy dominates the visuals there, her huge breasts popping out of her dress, and Cade reminds Klio/Sarah of their plot to fleece Sophia. Missy goes home and discusses her own publicity scheme involving fake photos of her with Chloe, and Chloe decides to make it real by seducing Missy -great body contrast between the two during their sex scene.

Sophia reveals to Klio that she in love with her (as her muse) and they have a routine sex scene, Ela's pink nipples the highlight.

At home Cade is humping Amber, as Chloe calls their relationship quits. She drops out of sight and Sophia is distraught. She meets Missy who's commissioning a painting for her new apartment and the make up. Technically still married, the duo make love, and the old heat is still there. But afterward Missy advises her wife that she should pursue her true love and muse, so when Klio shows up at her doorstep, we get a happy ending of the duo agreeing to start over as Sophia and Sarah - a fine open ending.
