- Rachel McAdams: The element that I was most attracted to in the script was psychological mind play between these two characters and what it is to have to sit in one spot and be terrorized and basically held hostage without letting anyone else know what's going on.

- Wes Craven: I was aware that it was a page-turner. It just compelled you to turn the page and see what was gonna happen next and I know from having done films like the the past, it was the scripts that make terrific films.
