The only good part of this episode was the Zombie Convention. The rest of it was dull.
Attention magnet Angela starts a GED course because she never graduated from High School, so that takes up about ten minutes of debates and discussions about how hard it is to study when your life is dedicated to gossiping and instigating.
Maura's assistant is giving her medical advice regarding her brain injury. You would think that Maura would be smart enough to go see a neurologist, but over the past six episodes she has been diagnosing herself and getting second opinions from her assistant, who was formerly a battlefield medic in Afghanistan. Just incredible that there is never a scene where Maura is seen getting medical advice from a neurologist.
Finally they get around to confronting a perp, and like usual on this show, the three stooges (Jane, Frankie, and Vince, the fat old guy from Animal House) are all on one side of the perp, and the guy threatens to jump off the building. This gives Jane the opportunity to talk him off the ledge, showing what an amazing cop she really is.
Next up, zombie-con costumed customers show up at the Dirty Robber bar owned by Vince. Jane is drinking there with Maura, so when the zombies start dancing, Jane disconnects the juke-box and yells at them to stop being happy, because it annoys Jane.
This last season the writers have really been emphasizing what a major jerk hole Jane is. I have no idea why nobody ever tells her to flack off, but it is annoying to watch Jane insulting people in almost every scene she is in.
