When they are investigating the murder of the vulcanologist, it is stated that sunset is at 7:30pm (actually that appears to be nautical twilight time in Feb. in Guadeloupe; actual sunset is abbot 6:30, but maybe DST?) which is why he needed a torch (flashlight) to go up the mountain to the seismometer at 9pm in the dark. Yet Martha makes a date for dinner at Humprey's at 8:00pm the next day and when she arrives--and he is mostly ready for her, so she can't be that early--they are looking out at the ocean and it is clearly far from sunset.
Towards the end they show bundles of $ 50/- currency notes with the wrapping bands indicating $ 50,000/- as the value. The bundles are barely of 100 notes let alone 1000 notes required to make $ 50,000 with $ 50 notes.
