The murder trial continues, with Costley's lawyer Bonnard basing her defence on evidence that Costley suffers from a personality disorder which would have impeded his ability to react normally during an altercation with Selway. The prosecution attack this claim. When Yvonne finally takes to the stand, she sticks firmly to her story and confidently holds her own.—Anonymous
As the trial continues prosecutor Ms Price exposes the married Costley as having had an affair with a second woman and not as mentally damaged as he claimed, more a violent fantasist. When Yvonne takes the stand she recounts her rape by Selway, eliciting sympathy from the jury but is ultimately forced to admit her affair with Costley by his barrister Ms Bonnard . Her barrister Robert points out that the affair does not by any means brand her as an accomplice to murder and with loyal family members and her friend Susannah watching she awaits the jurors' verdict.—don @ minifie-1
