What was that?

This movie took a VERY basic romcom plot and somehow made it boring, not funny, and almost depressing. The whole marriage pact thing is as old as time. There's almost nothing original to be done with that concept and this movie proved that. Both characters are 30...(SO Old) and not going anywhere in life so they decide to get married...blah blah blah I'd hoped for a little comedy but unfortunately the director decided against that. Ultimately the two characters are supposed to end up making each other better and moving forward, but that's not what happens here. Instead, the male character end up pulling the female lead into his whole "people don't change" concept and they decide to both be directionless losers. I've always found aha cash cute and funny but in this movie she phoned it in. Not sure if that was her fault or just really bad directing but in the end, it was not her finest role. The rest of the actors will probably never be seen again, say for the roommate.

Enjoyable Punk Soundtrack

Enjoyed the cast rendition of the Descendents' "Marriage" during the credits.

This is a cute little romantic movie. I enjoyed it. It also has some great music and jokes as well.

Great for Saturday or Sunday morning viewing or during the Holiday season when you have some free time.

BAD-ASS!

Hidden gem I almost missed, WATCH IT!

Don't listen to the haters with no taste writing the crappy reviews, this is the funniest f---ing flick I've seen in awhile and even touching at tomes. If you happen to be relationship-challenged (which, admittedly, I am), pop this in and start relating and laughing.

The soundtrack is AWEsome, the characters are very 'real' people, and the actors/actresses portraying them are spot on. The only critique I could possibly come up with is the dance scene that pretty much copies exactly the dance scene of another flick (which they do make reference to later, so I suppose it must've been intentional).

Oh, and--hope it's ok to say this here--if you're an orgasm-less chick (or with a guy who hasn't been 'getting you there'), at least watch the first 11-1/2 minutes (together if possible), you'll be so happy you did.

Highly recommended, go for it.
