It’s hard to believe that Christina Aguilera has been in the business since she was a child. The Mickey Mouse Club alum’s style and sound have become iconic, but the version of Aguilera fans see today is not who she was introduced as. Fans first met the “Dirrty” singer when she had a squeaky clean girl next door image, which she says she practically hated. Exclusive: Christopher Potts and Jonty Nash, two of the creative minds behind Netflix reality series Nailed It! and Sugar Rush, have signed an overall deal with ITV America.
The pair, who also helped to develop NBCU’s hit British reality series Made In Chelsea, will work with the Love Island producer via their recently established production label Nobody’s Hero.
Nobody’s Hero was established at the start of the year after the pair previously worked together at Project Runway producer Magical Elves. The company has already set unscripted projects with Netflix and Quibi as well as History and Nat Geo Wild.
Under the overall deal with ITV America, Potts and Nash will develop and produce “offbeat” reality shows and work alongside the ITV team. The deal was brokered by ITV America Executive Vice President of Business Development and Strategy Danielle Bibbo and by WME, which reps Nobody’s Hero.

The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame announced the newest members of the bands. The 2020 Rock Hall inductees are Whitney Houston, Notorious B.I.G., Doobie Brothers, Depeche Mode, Nine Inch Nails, and T-Rex. Jon Landau and Irving Azoff will receive the Ahmet Ertegun Award. They will be inducted into the Rock Hall May 2 at Cleveland's Public Auditorium.
To be eligible for inclusion, the act has to have put out their first commercial recording at least 25 years prior to the year of nomination. Winners judge influence, body of work, innovation, style and technique. Ballots were cast by over 1,000 international artists, including current living Inductees, historians and music industry professionals.

The UK Jewish Film Festival winners have been revealed. The Best Debut Feature Award has gone to Leona, directed by Isaac Cherem. The Spanish-language Mexican film, which received its UK premiere at the event, follows a young Jewish woman from Mexico City who finds herself torn between her family and her forbidden love with a non-Jewish man. The Dorfman Best Film Award went to Polish film Dolce Fine Giornata, directed by Jacek Borcuch. Pic charts how the stable family life of a poetess begins to fall apart as she makes a controversial speech. The movie beat out other titles Flawless, Jojo Rabbit, My Polish Honeymoon, Stripped and The Unorthodox. The Best Documentary Award winner has been announced as Advocate, directed by Philippe Bellaiche and Rachel Leah Jones. The film is a look at the life and work of Jewish-Israeli lawyer Lea Tsemel who has represented political prisoners for nearly 50 years.

Toronto Audience Award winner JoJo Rabbit, about a young boy in Hitler’s army who finds out his mother is hiding a Jewish girl in their home, will be the festival’s closing night gala, a choice that could stir debate. Waititi, who is Jewish, plays Hitler. Also starring are Scarlett Johansson, Sam Rockwell and Rebel Wilson.
The festival’s Centerpiece Gala will be the UK premiere of The Operative, about a woman who is recruited by the Mossad to work undercover in Tehran. Directed by Yuval Adler, the Berlin Film Festival debut stars Diane Kruger and Martin Freeman.

di Bonaventura and Erik Howsam of di Bonaventura Pictures and Patrick O’Brien in partnership with Vancouver-based Lighthouse Pictures are producing.
