Richard Stringham wrote several pages of this script in 2008, then shelved the idea for six years. In 2014, he experienced such a powerful trip on psilocybin shrooms, he claimed the use of psychedelics helped him flesh out the story and pen the script in three months.
Jordan Phipps is barefoot for the entire movie.
For her impressive performance as Morgan, lead actress Jordan Phipps (in her feature debut) took home the award for 'Best Actress' at the Halloween International Film Festival in North Carolina.
For color correction, Richard Stringham hired veteran colourist, Omar Godinez, after hearing about his work on "I Spit on Your Grave" and Richard Linklater's "Slacker". Stringham collaborated with Godinez for nine weeks to capture a vibrant, colorful look reminiscent of old Italian thrillers. Sadly, just a few months after working on the project, Godinez died of a heart attack and never got a chance to see his work on the finished film.
While filming was taking place in a gated community, a drunken lady (claiming to be the wife of the HOA president) barged into the house one night as a bedroom scene was being filmed. Since actress Jordan Phipps was wearing nothing but bra and panties, the belligerent lady accused the cast and crew of shooting porn, and demanded they get out of the neighborhood immediately. This resulted in several visits from the police, harassment from the neighborhood, and legal battles with the zoning commissioner and city attorney.
