Jack Hill: Swingin' Alma Mater (2016)
*** (out of 4)
This eight-minute interview with director Jack Hill can be found on the Arrow Video release of his film THE SWINGING CHEERLEADERS. The interview really doesn't spend too much time talking about that film except for Hill explaining how a lot of the negatives to these types of movies have gone missing over the years. The majority of the running time has Hill talking about his parents, how he got into the film business and his relationship with the likes of Roger Corman and Francis Ford Coppola. At just eight-minutes there's nothing ground-breaking here and you would have liked more details on the film that this appears on as an extra but if you're a fan of the director then you should enjoy what stories are here. It's a good and quick overview of Hill and his career.
