Unrequited Love
claudio_carvalho29 January 2019
In North Dakota, Eichhorst find the group of men that left Fet and Quinlan behind and he kill all of them except one to be his truck driver to chase Fet and Quinlan. Meanwhile Fet, Quinlan, Roman and Charlotte head to an airport to negotiate weapons plus ammunition per an airplane. In the Empire State Building, Zach is in unrequited love with the servant Abby and soon he finds that the girl has a boyfriend. When she comes to work, Zach takes an unthinkable attitude.

"Tainted Love" is an episode where the insidious Zach has another despicable attitude. This character is the weakest part of "The Strain" and should have been destroyed a long time ago. The segment with Fet, Quinlan, Roman, Charlotte and Eichhorst is full of action and the best part of the show. My vote is nine.

Is Zack or the viewers being set up?
yuri01-130 October 2017
Warning: Spoilers
Zack is probably one of the most disliked TV teens in recent years.

He's betrayed his father, caused a nuclear detonation in New York and then avoided taking responsibility when his love interest, Abby, tells him how she saw her parents die when the nuke went off.

Then, when Abby places him firmly in the friend zone, he has his pet vamp murder her.

Meanwhile, his dad still has no idea of how far gone his son is. Want to bet that at some moment that when he has to decide whether to kill Zack or not, he hesitates? At a critical moment?

It's hard to say who is being set up worse. Zack, his dad, or the viewers.

Really Good [8.6/10]

Warning: Spoilers
Reaction / Review for The Strain Season 4 Episode 6 ''Tainted Love'' (S4. E6): Episode 5 was good and I gave it a rating 8/10. I like the flashbacks with Quinlan. It seems like Quinlan is able to live a ''normal'' life. I like New York better, im glad Fet is going back there. Its disturbing that Zach's father figure is the Master. Whatever this kid does is always wrong. In the flashbacks Quinlan sacrificed his human family and the love he had for them so that he can defeat the Master, that's so sad. So if the Master dies Quinlan will die too? That sucks. So Abby has a boyfriend? Zach wont like this. Zach behaving like a spoiled child once again. Someone losing their life because of Zach, nothing new. Wow Quinlan had to kill the ones he loved because they turned, that's brutal. Fet and the others are going to New York, that's good. Where is Setrakian though? This season Setrakian is nowhere to be seen and that sucks. My rating is 8.6/10.

It goes downhill
nsd421 December 2021
This season is where the Strain goes downhill. It's clear that it needs to be wrapped up in one season rather than 3/4 and as such there is lazy writing and lazy production.

For example, in this episode eichorst moves at an incredible speed to disarm thre men, yet the previous episode he couldn't move away from a petrol bomb. It's all become a bit nonsense - good watching but nonsense none the less.

I really wish that fox had actually invested in this til the end. Cest la vie.

Description wrong

Warning: Spoilers
It is decided to fly an aircraft to New York City with the Nuclear Warhead.

Eichorst figures out that Fet, Quinlan, Abby and Roman are heading to the Airport.

Fet, Quinlan and Roman decide to leave Abby behind.

More is revealed about the Master and Quinlan, and why Quinlan demanded that Abby be left behind.

Zack becomes jealous that Abby already has a boyfriend.

Facts, Technically, if the Master knows everything from those that have been "turned", this would mean that the Master also has Full Access to a Nuclear Emergency Search Team (N.E.S.T.) now known as a Nuclear Emergency Support Team that would have the Full Capabilities of the U.S. to detect and track any Nuclear Weapon. The Nuclear Warhead that Fet and Quinlan have is not in a shielded nuclear weapon shipping and handling container.

Since N.E.S.T. creation 1974, the detection equipment has been improved and now data can be processed accurately enough to home in on the activity of any single nuclear element desired. This equipment is so accurate and sensitive that low level radiation from Medical Devices can easily be detected and tracked. Previously, a high altitude aircraft mounted version was used to determine that the Israelis had built nuclear weapons that were heavily shielded in an underground concrete and metal reinforced facility, this was then applied to Space Satellite Based Sensors to determine the numbers of U.S.S.R. Nuclear Warheads, Types and Sizes.

1993 to 2001 Democrat President Clinton's Destruction of the U.S. Defense meant that the U.S. Army Air Defense Artillery (Anti Aircraft Missile Batteries) were dismantled and moved to the nearest U.S. Military Bases, these were previously put into place to protect U.S. Cities, and U.S. Airports. And the U.S. Air Force would no longer have at least two U.S.A.F. Fighter Aircraft at U.S. Commercial Airports 24/7/365, capable of immediate take off and interception of unidentified or potentially hostile aircraft, these were moved to U.S.A.F. Bases (too far away, as even with an immediate launch it would be minutes of flight to even get within range). After the 9/11 2001 Attacks Republican President G.W. Bush attempted to have these reinstalled and was stopped by the Democratic Party Controlled U.S. Congress (U.S. Senate and U.S. House of Representatives). In 2009 the Governor of New York and the Mayor of New York City demanded that these U.S. Military Capabilities be reinstalled. Currently with the threats of the Democratic Republic of North Korea of ICBMs, the U.S. Citizens at Guam and Hawaii are demanding that these capabilities be reinstalled as the U.S. Anti Ballistic Missile Capabilities located at California and Alaska will be too late due to travel times to intercept a Democratic Republic of North Korea ICBM.

Basically, if Roman, Fet and Quinlan even get close to New York City in the aircraft with the nuclear warhead they will be shotdown. N.E.S.T. working for the Master would have already been tracking them ever since they got the warhead even without the "pit assembly".

U.S. N.E.S.T. has determined and practiced for the Worst Case Scenario of attempting to detect, locate, track, and stop the detonation of a 10 Kilo Ton to over 20 Kilo Ton Nuclear Weapon(s) at a U.S. City (Cities). The results of this nuclear detonation are portrayed by the History Channel's "Day After Disaster".
