According to silent film website MOVIES SILENTLY, this film was so obscure that it didn't even have an IMDb page until late-2016.
Silent film website MOVIES SILENTLY did a review profile on the film in October 2016 and film collector Christopher Bird made a translated copy of (now public domain) surviving material available on YouTube under the title "The Child of the Carnival". This heavily truncated material runs a mere 14 minutes, much shorter than the original silent film, and doesn't include the downbeat ending of the feature version - instead ending on a happier note.
