I find myself observing this show, cherry picking small moments to enjoy but knowing deep down I'm going to struggle to remember any of it. The show is well produced and they pick out a few nice songs (Roxy Music mid-episode) but this season 2 opener didn't overly grab me. The trampoline scene was joyful and then incredibly sad. That awful feeling of losing your world as your kids treat you with contempt because they aren't mature enough to know better. Haden Church and SJP play the longing and regret so well.

Heart wrenching

What parent who hasn't gone through a divorce hasn't felt this way especially one who has teenagers or preteens. I couldn't help but shed a tear during the trampoline scene. This season 2 opener definitely is heart-wrenching can't wait to see where they take the season.
