poor assassin
SnoopyStyle28 December 2019
A girl (Karis Cameron) in Seattle witnesses the murder of her father. After she identifies the murderer, she and her mother (Yancy Butler) are placed in witness protection. Under new names Katie and Susan in the small town of Rivergreen, their lives are endangered when they are tracked down by assassin Maxyl (Sebastian Spence). Petty thief Andrew takes a liking to Katie.

It takes way too long for the assassin to make his move. He finds his targets rather early but then he goes into stalking mode. Logically speaking, he should attack as soon as he has targets in his sight. It should do that anyways to maintain a higher tension. It should be a road pursuit movie. It should be a lot of things. It spends too much time with nothing to do. With a killer lurking out there, Andrew is a nothing burger. Quite frankly, I don't know why the boy was taken and then not killed. Once it gets to hide and seek in the house, it has an interesting threatening mood but Maxyl is a poor assassin. This movie struggles to liftoff and never achieves much altitude.

Not much happens unfortunately

The assassin in this is hilarious. More like a pantomime baddie than professional killer. Acting is terrible.

Warning: Spoilers
I am a Yancy Butler fan but this part was below her. The way the story unfolds is pathetic. Mother and daughter seem perfectly fine considering their husband a father was only murdered 2 months ago. Mother's already dating. Daughter is just a dumb revel. Oh and the assassin a really irritating SOB!

Awful Movie

The acting is so bad , the story is rubblish .

Mother and daughter in a witness protection programme land on their feet in a pretty nice town .

Having been there for like , 5 minutes ,they land themselves two guys ,quick work !!, considering that their husband / father had been killed 2 months previously !!

Anyway , the smiling assasin is sent to kill them , and wait till you see this guy .... I started to laugh evertime he came on screen , just plain stupid .

Look , if you are desperate to watch something , it might do ,but don't expect much , especially from the acting department !

Better than average

When you consider the situation the principle characters act their parts very well. It is not bad acting but realistic for the pressures they are under . The mother building her relationship with a resentful daughter . The daughter ,realistically a modern teen , angry at her inability to accept the restrictions the witness protection program creates. The hunter is portrayed as a hard-nosed killer.and the repetitive scene of the car and his stalking supports this characterisation. The music is excellent as is the camera and lighting . This film is good .
