Evil Bong 666: Enough already
Platypuschow2 July 2018
It's hard to argue the success of the Evil Bong franchise, whatever you may personally think of them there have been 8 movies at time of writing (If you including Evil Bong vs Gingerdeadman).

Sadly they aren't in this guys opinion exactly good stuff and this sixth movie is likely the worst of the bunch.

Again to their credit I like how they've dragged along the same cast throughout and even have other Full Moon characters frequently show up.

Following directly on from part 5 we see a few of our characters sent to hell! But no this is an Evil Bong movie so it can't be as simple as that, instead they go to "Sexy" hell! Where instead of hellfire and brimstone it's boobs and butts and instead of torture and pain they engage in "Grosse" orgies.

One of the major differences here is that neither Larnell or Rabbit lead, in fact I'm not sure the film really has one. Mindy "Scum of the earth" Robinson plays a new character here called Lucy Furr and is the closest there is to one. This being the first movie without Larnell made it almost not feel like a part of the franchise at times.

With a more muddled plot than usual, some baffling writing and a lack of comedy or horror this is the worst movie in the series and clear evidence that maybe Eebee needs shoving into storage.

The Good:

Consistency

The Bad:

Mindy Robinson

Mindy Robinsons wig

Just an all round mess

Things I Learnt From This Movie:

That cup vape idea is actually genius

Hard to explain the level of idiocy in this movie

I used to adore Full Moon Entertainment movies back in the day. Arcade, Crash and Burn, Netherworld, Puppet Master and one of the best Charles Band movies ever made "Robot Jox" (Empire Pictures). They were crazy, funny and seriously interesting (in some aspects). But this monstrosity is beyond stupid. Acting is OK for this type of movie but the screenplay, who wrote this? EBEE is an awesome character that deserved something more engaging. One more thing. Full Moon should give the special effects and go back to basics. They look plain bad.

Another addition to the long list of deplorable Full Moon films

Warning: Spoilers
Full Moon Features has put out some solid stuff over the years honestly. The Puppet Master films are classics, Intruder is good, Demonic Toys is fun yet bad so are the first few Evil Bong and Gingerdead Films and to an extent Charles has made some really great low budget horror over the years. After watching his effort from 2014 Trophy Heads I thought it was a step in the right direction and I really hoped that it would mark the return to form for Full Moon. This hope was shattered once I watched Evil Bong 420, which while it was horrible it had its moments (although the Gingerdead Man is more common than the titular villain). I expected High 5 to have its moments just like 420 did. Sadly there was nothing redeeming about High 5. Then I catch wind that not only is Evil Bong 6, oh excuse me I mean 666, in the works but that Charles Band is planning on making 20 Evil Bong Films. This has officially made me lose all remaining hope I had for Charles and for Full Moon (Note there wasn't much hope remaining anyway). So because I hate myself I sit down and watch Evil Bong 666 (clever title guys, really). Upon sitting down and watching it what do I find? A movie that is worse than High 5 but for one simple reason. While High 5 was in all honesty one of the worst movies I've ever seen, it made me feel something it gave me a lot to talk about in terms of how terrible it was. 666 on the other hand isn't so bad its infuriating, its so bad its boring. I honestly have nothing to really say about the movie other than the fact that it was boring. Essentially, just like the last two entries in the series, its just people hanging out in a smoke shop and then somehow Gingerdead man and Ebee show up and don't kill anyone they just kinda argue and smoke some weed. Then people come into the smoke shop and either die, just look around, get naked or show up as references to previous Full Moon Features/to sell merchandise. But because they did that for the last two movies, Similar to how they had the 20 minute apiece flashbacks for every previous entry in the series in Evil Bong King Bong, The Wraith of Bong and Evil Bong Vs Gingerdead Man. Good old Charles decides to do a cross over with another bad Full Moon series, Killjoy and as if that wasn't enough to pad the film out for at least and hour, they go ahead and just make up a new villain on the spot and introduce him two-thirds of the way into the movie at a point when the conflict should be drawing to a close. As if it being practically the same film as the last 2 in the series wasn't bad enough we have nearly the same cast and they are all still terrible at their jobs. Just like the CGI in the previous two films the CGI here is really atrocious and used in nearly every scene. The green screen backgrounds for Bong World, Rabbit's Head and Sexy Hell are all absolutely abominable and look like a PS1 game. Credits are bad, Music is Bad everything about this movie is bad. In conclusion this film isn't one of the worst I've ever seen like High 5 or Terror Toons 3 was its more one of the worst in the sense that Andy Warhol's Empire is one of the worst. Its a boring film that lacks the small amount of charm and originality that the first Evil Bong had. I often hear people (in the mainstream) say Troma is one of the worst companies for low budget cinema, those people have not witnessed what I have.

These are only worth watching at this point if you're a fan of the series

Evil Bong 6 (2017) is free and available on Tubi and tells the tale of Lucy Furr who buys the hemp shop from Rabbit and hopes to kill enough people in it to get her to hell. EB and friends will help her on her conquest. Once in hell EB and friends are trapped by the actual Lucifer and must devise an escape plan. This movie is directed by Charles Band (Puppetmaster) and stars Mindy Robinson (Abducted), Sonny Carl Davis (Thelma & Louise), Robin Sydney (The Gingerbread Man), Jessica Morris (Pool Boy Nightmare) and Peter Donald Badalamenti (Bad Boys II). The storyline is as rediculous as the previous pictures but has more of a "Birds of Prey" feel to it than the previous films. The costumes and concepts remain fun but not good enough to make the movie good. These are only worth watching at this point if you're a fan of the series. I'd give this a 2/10.

Bizarre but tries to be different
Floated220 June 2023
After watching the previous film in the franchise (Evil Bong: High 5) and not thinking highly of it, didn't expect too much from this sixth edition.

As a whole, Evil Bong 666 seems like the most bizarre, and like an entirely different type of film. From the tone, to lower budget cheaper cgi graphics.

Many of the original characters from the previous films aren't here, including Larnell. Rabbit and Eebee are the only recurring characters. Another thing which was bizarre enough is Robin Sydney (who portrays Luann/Sarah) is an entirely different character (Faux Batty Boop- a weird ditsy girl with clown paint- perhaps inspired by Harley Quinn).

Also Mindy Robinson (films 4 & 5) is a different character supporting a different wig and everything- did not realize it was her at first). She is essentially the lead here.

This film just moves at an off beat pace and feels to throw random elements to pass time. The entire "sexy hell" alternate world wasn't explained well enough.

Gingerdead Man is also here but somewhat wasted. Further an introduction to Gingerweed Man appears.

Overall this film isn't the same without Larnell and is the weakest in the franchise to date.
