Interesting movie

Warning: Spoilers
The movie is interesting and is like a story how things can go horribly wrong like a horror movie.

The last part is a bit rubbish with the guy hiding the crimes done there... 75 years after Nuremberg show trials I think we are not discovering anything new.

Poorly staged

Watched to the end, but it was not worth it. Main idea and scrip are OK. But people actions are unrealistic. Sometimes almost unemotional. Sometimes badly played. Children look like decoration, no lines.

Realistic Germans from WW2
GwydionMW2 June 2020
This was an interesting idea - a small German unit cut off in Ukraine, and find a village of Russian Germans. Mostly women.

How relations start off OK, but then go horribly wrong.

The Germans I found very realistic. The women also, mostly.

The children look much too prosperous for wartime Ukraine.

Incidentally, the 'cast' are obviously from a completely different film with the same name. Needs fixing.

This is not the German language film pictured
traceytak15 September 2021
It looks like there has been an error in the listing and the German language film Behind Enemy Lines on Amazon is actually called Hear the Silence (2016). These reviews are for that Film, not this one and it's a pretty decent movie. Someone has taken the cover picture and mistakenly put it on this American film.

Entertaining and suspenseful thriller

This is more a psychological thriller than a war movie, but is entertaining and suspenseful. The acting is excellent, as is the pacing - at no point does the storyline begin to sag.
