Insight and amusement
Given its title, this Sweetheart Video series is seriously circumscribed, since every vignette has to lead to (if not dwell on to the exclusion of all else) the sexual practicec known as rimming. It is interesting that the series title was and continues to be misspelled by the Sweetheart/Mile High crew, almost as a badge of pride.
But filmmaker Dana Vespoli takes the opportunity to make a statement in her set-ups to the sex scenes. She stars opposite Kim Kane in a scene where she amusingly makes fun of herself, as a frequently self-proclaimed lover of "ass play", but her character here likes ass play but is very reluctant to go in for the oral version. On the phone she quips to a friend that fisting is okay but she's not crazy about the mouth.
In a more serious segment, lesbian icon Sinn Sage answers the door (she's living at a very familiar mansion used for porn shoots, known by its front door glass and metal molding resembling an inside-out version of the Dolby stereo logo) and greets Keira Kelly, going door-to-door with a petition to sign.
It's opposing the locating of a Queer Family Planning Center in the neighborhood, to which Sage notes that she was brought up by lesbian parents and is quite tolerant of queer families. The two ladies enter into a cordial discussion regarding tolerance, quite well-written by Dana, leading to an "agree to disagree" stalemate, but when leaving Keira suddenly kisses Dana on the lips, and the rest is history.
By adding a social consciousness to her porn escapism, Vespoli has won my respect, though I am the first to criticize her endless indulgence on screen of her particular fetishes.
Sloppiness in packaging has Kirsten Price consistently credited as Pierce, despite her years of superstardom at Wicked Pictures prior to these freelance assignments.
