Simple, but still a classic

Here we have the music video for the song "Men in Black", which is of course for the movie with the same title and this is from 1997. Over 20 years later, the franchise is still going strong and everybody knows this song, not really for Smith's rapping lyrics, but really for the chorus. Incredibly catchy. Other than that, it is a fairly forgettable work. Yeah you see some stuff from Men in Black here, but nothing stands out visually in my opinion and even those who like the film(s) (more than I do) may have a hard time proving it is not true. I did like the ending though, breaking the 4th wall was kind of a nice idea. Yeah this is a pretty short review still, but honestly I am struggling with what to say about this one. I personally would have liked more Vincent D'Onofrio in it. But I can see why he isn't as this one is not really about the plot and main antagonist, but more about the background, the headquarters of the Men in Black that is. So yeah, I think this is enough now. If you take a closer look, it is a pretty simple work both music- and video-wise, but simple works in this case for the most part and I recommend checking it out. But listening to the song only may be enough too as perhaps you will have these Men in Black images right in front of your eyes anyway, perhaps better ones even than the video offers here. Oh yeah, by the way, as a final note, the (uncredited) director here is Robert Caruso, who worked with Smith on several other occasions too.
