Cool action video thanks to the director, but eventually fairly pointless

Warning: Spoilers
This is the music video for the song Confident by recording artist Demi Lovato. It runs for 3.5 minutes approximately and was directed by a certain Robert Rodriguez. And this may honestly be the only reason why wyou want to watch it. The song is extremely simple and generic in my opinion. I am just not a fan of Lovato. At least other pop singers like Perry or Rihanna or Lady Gaga (yep), who don't have the most amazing voice and biggest range vocal-wise, have some recognition value when you hear a song you know normally immediately it is them. But not so Lovato. That's all I can say about the song. I hope she manages to clean herself up with all the mental issues she has going on (that was her right?), but maybe also a career away from showbiz would not be the worst idea where she can get the calm and quiet she maybe needs. Anyway, as for the music video, it is better than most music video without a doubt. Robert Rodriguez got Michelle Rodriguez to appear in here playing Lovato's opponent, later ally because some tatoo mark connects them. We don't find out about the details. Obviously Rodriguez' character is fighting for some particular group, but not the police or country when we see these dubious men in black suits near the end. And she is really well-trained, far stronger than Lovato's character. All in all, an okay music video. Watch it if you like Michelle or love Lovato's music for whatever reason. It's probably better here to watch the video with the song than just listen to the record. Fun fact: Only country where this made number one was Israel apparently. In the US it came close to the top20. Way too high if you ask me. I give the overall outcome a thumbs-down here. The music video can save it a bit, but the song is just too shallow for a positive recommendation. Skip it.
