Sex & Nudity

  • There's mild sexual language and light references to rape, masturbation, and pornography throughout; while the modern seasons contain less than earlier seasons, some sexual references are still present.
  • In many episodes, the word 'pingas' usually refers to the male penis.
  • Mario gets naked and streaks a lot. However, as it just merely an altered sprite, nothing graphic is (or can be) depicted. Is just partial nudity.
  • Some episodes in the first few seasons have a number of gay jokes thrown in (usually based on if certain characters are gay.), and use of the word "gay" is thrown about quite liberally.
  • Mario sometimes (comically) strips naked. However, his genitals aren't exposed and it is played for laughs.
  • The character bob makes inappropriate comments but they are easy to miss

Violence & Gore

  • There is a fair amount of violence in the series, but is done in a slapstick/comical fashion. Characters are repeatedly harmed, injured, imperilled or, at times, comically killed. Recent seasons/videos have seen the violent content ramped up considerably to the point of pure destructive chaos.
  • Characters are generally attacked by others by way of fists, kicking or blunt weapons, or caught in explosions. Many of these attacks are strong enough to send these characters flying, many times into solid surfaces or objects (use of ragdoll physics in the animations ensures this is done comically)
  • There is some gunplay and a range of comical violence, but there is usually non-graphic violence or blood. While gore is relatively uncommon, blood is occasionally edited into the videos.
  • There's a lot of violence throughout.
  • Mario's skull is shown in one episode.

Profanity

  • Almost every episode has profanity.
  • "Fuck" and "shit" are mostly used, yet in recent years they have been censored with bleeps.
  • Numerous uses of "God dammit".
  • The word "retard" was used quite liberally in early episodes/seasons, from regular use to subseries titles ("Guards 'n Retards", "Retarded64"). This has since been curtailed and censored in recent years.
  • The series extremely frequently uses the term, "Hell", and sometimes even goes as far as to be sacrilegious by including Satan as an actual character.
  • At a few points in some of the earlier episodes, certain characters talk about Adolf Hitler in a somewhat positive light.
  • Stupid mario's catchphrases include "get ready to move your pingas (penis)" and "mama fucka"
  • Since the show is based on memes, it will 100% contain language, things like "what the fuck" "wow, what an asshole" and other
  • "Fuck" and "shit" are censored usually in 2020 episodes, but "bitch", "ass", "crap" and more are uncensored.
  • Moderate level language, "ass", "crap", "damn", "bitch/son of a bitch", "fuck" (bleeped), "shit" (bleeped), "the n-word", "dick," "mofo," and "motherfucker" (bleeped).
  • Most language is bleeped out except for the b word, c word, d word and a word
  • Frequently use of mild language like "hell," "damn," "bastard," "ass/jackass/dumbass/fatass/badass/smartass," "piss" and "crap/bullcrap/crappy." There's also several uses of moderate swearing includes "bitch/son of a bitch," "goddamn," "dick/dickhead," "asshole," "pussy," "slut," "prick," "balls," "tits," "cock," and "whore." Severe profane words like "shit/bullshit/shitty," "fuck/motherfucker," although the strong swear words are censored.
  • All profanity are used throughout when characters get surprised of comic relief or angry as insults for reason (Usually the memes).
  • "God", "Jesus" and "Christ" isn't profane, but it is uses of religion exclamations.
  • In earlier to mid until 2020 episodes, "Fuck" and "Shit" are sometimes not bleeped.
  • Strong language, such as "Fuck" and "Shit" (which is bleeped out) are used almost several times.
  • Most new episodes are more family friendly and swearing is heavily censored.
  • Multiple flip-offs are done by some characters.

  • Alcohol consumption is depicted many times throughout the series.
  • Comical depictions of drug use are seen throughout the series, mainly ingesting magic mushrooms or narcotic medication (with the aftermath/effects shown).
  • Characters drink beer and champagne in some videos

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The series itself is a comedy, yet some content is dark/disturbing.
  • Overall pretty humorous/goofy YouTube show.
  • Some moments in story arcs can be pretty dark/depressing.
  • The main plot is make a variety memes throughout of the series since it based on. While parody and satirical content is present, it is not meant to offended, it played for laughs.
  • Despite the SMG4 series being an overall mild-mannered and satirical, the arcs/movies become serious and intense and this could lead some characters died or come close to death.
