Stupid game, but I love it
teafilip-162579 August 2020
This game is very enjoyable. There are stunt races, fight races, K.O. competitions and normal races. I've played it with my brother for over a year now and it never gets old. The lip syncing is bad and the cut scenes are a nice, if unneccessary touch. And there is a stunt park, which you only visit for Mack's hats and trophies. But overall a flawed and enjoyable game.

Way too similar to the cars 2 videogame

Warning: Spoilers
The game gets boring a little too quick, I wish there was more to do, and the story is mid length, it's still a decent game and I'm sure all the kids who loves the cars movies would like them, I just tolerate this game, while the animation has improved drastically since the cars 2 videogame, it's also way too similar to it in this way, the inclusion of the same exact guns, the achievements for the Xbox players are almost exactly like the ones from the previous game, I don't understand how this is the 2nd highest rated cars videogame when it is probably my least favorite cars videogame, even maternational was better than this.

This is one of my favorite PS4 games
T-ZER05 August 2019
Okay, so there are a lot of people who hate the Cars 3 movie, and there a lot of people who hate this game because it's not like the first one. But I love this game. It's a neat little racing game that I enjoy playing with my relatives and friends.

There are plenty of modes to play, and a good selection of characters, also the Master Level events can be played with as many players as you want and on any difficulty. So I guess you could say, story mode is multiplayer.

My only problems are these:

I wish it didn't take too long to unlock my favorite guy: Jackson Storm. I had to do a ton of boring skill checks just to unlock his race. I also wish that when racing against ONE opponent, you could select which character to race. That would be very helpful because I like to play as Storm against certain characters, and they give me random every time.

Also, me and my brother were disappointed that there wasn't a DLC that included other characters. He was hoping they had a DLC containing Francesco Bernoulli. I also wished they had Doc in the DLC, or Finn McMissile, or Holley Shiftwell. Even though Cars 2 was a terrible movie, it would still be nice to see most characters there since it's the third and possibly final Cars film.

So, a fun game that I play because I am a huge fan of Jackson Storm. It's better than Cars Lightning League. That cash grab app that was briefly on the App Store. But still, I wish it had more.

Platinum #16
ocesarebr15 December 2023
Warning: Spoilers
A platinum that is very easy to make but very nauseating. Because of the many repetitions of the same races that you have to do. The positive side is that it doesn't have to be perfect in everything. But it is perhaps the best children's racing game, I haven't felt this pleasure playing a game of this type in a long time. Basically, there is no story. There are only 5 different styles of racing, if I'm not mistaken there are 21 tracks in total. And there's also the way to hunt for the hat, which is easy, it's already marked on the map, if you don't find it, just look for it on YouTube and you'll be sure to find it. It's a quiet platinum in the making. Platinum #16 Platinum Game on December 15, 2023.

Reasonable but nothing to get excited about
rsaurusrex26 November 2017
Warning: Spoilers
This game is pretty much like any other kiddy racing game. Bright, silly and not difficult to master, even on hard mode. It has a selection of decent race tracks, though none are truly memorable, various modes of play and a number of unlockable things that get you more characters and stuff.

The graphics and scenery are rather nice but nothing spectacular. The same can be said of the music. The controls are pretty responsive though I have noticed the jump function can be a little wild and the Characters A.I's are rather dumb, even on hard mode the other racers do silly things like run of the tracks themselves. Idiots.

The main story is pretty basic but that's fine. Lightning McQueen is out once again to prove he still has what it takes to be a top racer (like cars 3 advertised it was about) and you can be that in this game. You can beat Jackson Storm, scrappy Cruz and a whole host of other characters from the movie, as well as Radiator Springs ( no Doc Hudson though. Pity ) Y'know you can do what should have happened in the movie Cars 3. I only play it so I can beat all those other characters. I never play as anyone else but Lightning. My family play as the others, especially when we do verses modes, which are fun somewhat but still nothing that will hold you for too long.

You can complete the game in about 12 hours, getting all the unlockable content, and it loses its charm pretty quickly after that but I think little kids will maybe like it more. I prefer the other cars games personally. They held my attention for far longer than this game.
