The title is a quote from George Eliot's novel 'Middlemarch' - "..for the growing good of the world is partly dependent on unhistoric acts; and [ ... ] is half owing to the number who lived faithfully a hidden life, and rest in unvisited tombs."
The quote "Tell me and I forget, teach me and I remember, involve me and I learn." is often attributed to Benjamin Franklin but goes back to (the learnings of) Confucius and further back and has been modified over time.
