The most brutal episode of this series

Warning: Spoilers
In the middle of the night the cat pulls Pinocchio out of bed. He tells him he is invited to a party. In reality Pinocchio should trigger the fox and the cat wants to help him because the poor fox gets constantly beaten from a big, fat and sadistic innkeeper for every little thing because he was just hungry, hadn't eaten for days, had no money and bounced the colliery.

The tender, small and defenseless fox gets it pretty hard in this episode: Towards the end, the poor fox is beaten half dead by the fat innkeeper for something he hasn't anything to do with because it was Pinocchio who threw the tray with the dishes on the floor. This injustice annoyed me immensely as a child and it still does now.

Always on the weaker I think that is not okay. The so-called "villain" rather awakens my protective instincts. This was the most brutal episode of this animation series from the 70ies. I guess the screenwriters must have been real sadists.
