At around 37 mins, the 3 women are cooking toad-in-the-hole, using just bread, and eggs. This traditional British recipe has no bread, it is sausages cooked in a Yorkshire pudding base.
Beginning with the scene when the two sisters are introduced to Brad at the ranch, the song of an Eastern Wood-Pewee can be heard often during most outdoor scenes for the remainder of the film. The ranch scenes are said to take place in Washington state where there have been very few reported sightings of the Eastern Wood Pewee which--as its name implies--has a breeding range in the eastern half of North America. Those few sightings occurred during fall migration and there are no historical records of this bird occurring in Washington state during any winter month, also when these scenes are said to take place.
