In this episode Laurence says that it has been two months since the death of actress Marilyn Monroe. Monroe died in August 1962, thus putting the events of this story in October 1962. In "Crimes Haute Couture", three episodes earlier, another character specifically states that the current year is 1962. However in between that episode and this one, the episode "Le Crime de Noël" occurs, featuring events taking place at Christmas time. If one assumes the episodes happen in chronological order, "Noël", coming after "Haute Couture", would have to take place in December 1962 - which would then make it impossible for this story to be taking place in October of that year.
