Young Sheldon is not your typical comedy, you won't be laughing all the time, but you will always be entertained especially if you like The Big Bang Theory and Sheldon's character. It is at times also quite funny though, Ian's acting is on point. This episode was one of the best if not the best so far.

Learning to Cheat

Georgie will have mathematics test and his father asks Sheldon to teach him; otherwise, he will not be allowed to play football anymore. In return, George will give a new train for him. Sheldon considers his brother a lost case, but Georgie surprisingly has a B+ in the test. Soon Sheldon learns that Georgie cheated the test and Georgie teaches him how to cheat.

"Spock, Kirk, and Testicular Hernia" is another funny and sarcastic episode of Sheldon, where he learns how to cheat with his older brother. Further, he also learns that there are people, like Georgie, that needs to cheat. Sheldon forging a letter from his mother to the school teacher to skip the physical education classes is hilarious. In the end, the family is happy, Georgie can play football and Sheldon has a new train. My vote is eight.

Spock, Kirk, and Testicular Hernia

I agree with the previous reviewer - 'Young Sheldon' is not a laugh out loud comedy. It goes for more gentle humour and it is prepared also to slow down and have some real moments along the way too.

I thought this was another nice episode, though not one of the best from the first series, in which the Georgie and Sheldon relationship is established a little bit further. This is an important thing, as we need to know how each character is connected to him.

There are lots of nice moments here, but it all moves along at such a pace that perhaps it lacks a bit of development here and there.

On the whole though, a nice episode.
