This was one of the best episodes of the first series of 'Young Sheldon' so far for me, as it really felt like we were watching exactly that - a young Sheldon Cooper.
There were lots of funny moments along the way, and whoever had the idea of casting Annie Potts as Sheldon's MeeMaw is a genius - she steals every scene here by a mile, though Zoe Perry gives her a run for her money. Not that Annie Potts hasn't been stealing scenes in things for most of her career.
For me in a spin-off you need the character you knew before to be good but there needs to be interesting new characters, and 'Young Sheldon' is doing well on that front so far.
