- A series of vignettes takes us across the City of Oaks to some of the iconic landmarks and places, featuring stories about people looking for friendship and companionship, but not exactly finding it the way they thought they would. The story-lines are all romantic comedies, occasionally venturing into "screwball comedy" territory, each ending with a twist.
- A testimonial to the idea that the greatest screwball comedy of all is real life, RALEIGH I KINDA LIKE YOU is a fun romp through first dates, second dates and blind dates --- disastrous and successful --- and what happens in the almighty pursuit of romantic companionship when you have a little bit of conniving and a whole lot of heart.
An anthology told in 6 parts, RALEIGH, I KINDA LIKE YOU is screwball comedy with a whole lot of heart. If its true that just because a scene starts in a dentist office doesn't mean you can't sacrifice a goat by the end of it, in these stories we sacrifice a lot of goats. Each story starts as one thing, but quickly becomes something else, before doubling back and pulling the rig out again, before finally settling in for a cruise toward the inevitable surprise ending.
"The Thing With the Stolen Car" features a guy trying to impress his date with a fancy car, which proves to be disastrous. And finally, "The One With the Obnoxious British Guy" features a disastrous first date with a beau who is hiding something important --- as is his date.
