Excellent Interview
Too Sweet for Penitentiary (2018)
**** (out of 4)
Actor Leon Isaac Kennedy is interviewed for this wonderful featurette that takes a look at the making of PENITENTIARY. It seems as if Kennedy has been holding these stories for nearly forty-years and was just waiting for the chance to bust them loose and that's exactly what he's done here. If you're a fan of PENITENTIARY then you're going to love this featurette because it goes into some really great details about all aspects of the production. Kennedy starts off talking about his days as a radio host and he talks about how he got into acting. Originally he was cast in a smaller role so he explains how he became Too Sweet and from here we get some great stories about the production, what it was like working with director Jamaa Fanaka and the post-production with Jerry Gross. Every single aspect of the film is discussed and I must say that this here was one of the better featurettes I've seen. Even if you didn't love the film, after watching this you'll be wanting to revisit it as it's certainly a great item and one that is very much worth watching.
