Adult filmmaking pioneer Sascha Alexander issued this first of a set of 30 compilation DVDs in 2003, spotlighting his great companion Sarah Louise Young in a context with other stars of the early '90s (most SLY videos are more Sarah-centric). This edition has a fascinating opening segment, opening a window onto Sascha's filming technique.
In a practice still used today (see: Marc Dorcel releases for example), Alexander shot the opening scene of Sarah and husband Richard Lengin at the breakfast table in the actor's native languages (to be dubbed into whatever track is appropriate, usually German or English, later on). Here we see the original track unadulterated, and it has small talk of Sarah speaking in English and Richard answering in French.
But what is so unusual is that Sarah in the middle of the conversation starts answering him with "I don't understand what you're saying" as she's not fluent in French, but he keeps right on going, not unlike those Fellini players in the '50s and '60s who were told by the Maestro to just recite the alphabet - dialog was not recorded in that Golden Age, as Italian films were generally dubbed in post-production until around 1983 (when actors through their union won the right to speak their own lines live).
Sascha's innovation which has not been copied since showed prescience over the future of Adult Cinema. He made hundreds of hours of content for Sarah & her production company from 1991 through 1993 (which is drawn upon for the Private Fantasy series) and initially used it in the hit The Young One Series, editing scenes with cross-cutting and familiar techniques to consitute feature films. But he later reused and re-cut in diverse forms the original footage to conform with the later all-sex preference of porn fans, letting a scene run organically to 30 or 40 minutes (or even longer) duration, so that this scene exists in many contrasting forms on DVDs from Scandinavia, Germany and England.
The Lengin/Sarah sex at the breakfast table is merged to a foursome involving them in an atrium gym setting featuring Souad Abdul, giving a taste of the original story feature.
The other vignettes featuresome top Yank talent, headed up by a classic workout scene in which huge-breasts Lisa Lipps gets the full treatment from trainer Peter North. LL was never styled lovelier than this one, looking fabulous in a skimpy pink onesie and matching pink leg warmers.
