One of the many joys in watching Law & Order: Svu is trying to spot hometown New York City locations seen in the long-running series. Stars have played countless scenes throughout NYC, from Olivia Benson’s home borough of Manhattan to Elliot Stabler’s turf in Queens, where his family once lived. Ada Sonny Carisi is from Staten Island, and new team member Terry Bruno came from the Bronx Svu. Many cases have also involved places in Brooklyn. Residents and visitors to New York frequently stumble upon the cast and crew filming on the city’s mean streets, and there’s always a chance of glimpsing Captain Benson (Mariska Hargitay) and her crew doing what they do best: solving crimes and protecting victims. Below, we highlight just a few of the real (and fictional) locations the hit procedural has used over the past 25 years. Benson’s Apartment (203 W. 89th St.

This year, scripts had to receive at least seven nominations to be included.

The joyous strains of “Pure Imagination” lead into an equally joyous celebration of life – and chocolate – in Warner Bros Pictures’ Wonka. Movie fans could have had a one-two Timothée Chalamet punch if Dune 2 hadn’t been pulled from the theatrical release calendar. But for now, Chalamaniacs will have to settle for seeing the ever-charming actor light up the screen in the prequel to 1971’s Willa Wonka & The Chocolate Factory.
Chalamet is no Gene Wilder, but then again, no one can fill Wilder’s shoes. Not even Johnny Depp came close in 2005’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Still, comparisons aside, Oscar nominee Timothée Chalamet (Call Me by Your Name) proved to be an excellent choice to play the overly optimistic chocolatier with huge dreams and an even bigger heart.

Ella Purnell (“Yellowjackets”) will star in and executive produce “Sweetpea,” a female driven original drama series from pay TV operator Sky.
The series is adapted from C.J. Skuse’s novel of the same name by writer and executive producer Kirstie Swain (“Pure”), and written by Kirstie Swain (“Run”) and Krissie Ducker (“Killing Eve”), alongside Laura Jayne Tunbridge (“Nights”) and Selina Lim (“Sex Education”). The series will be directed by Ella Jones (“The Baby”), who also serves as executive producer.
Purnell stars as Rhiannon Lewis, who doesn’t make much of an impression – people walk past her in the street without a second glance. She’s continually overlooked for a promotion at work, the guy she likes won’t commit, and her dad is really sick. Then everything in her life turns upside down. Paul McCartney said one of his Wings songs sold 100,000 copies a day. He contrasted this with record sales in the modern music industry. While the tune in question was a massive hit in the United Kingdom, it made no impact whatsoever in the United States.
Paul McCartney got to experience the ‘best’ of the music industry through 1 of his songs
During a 2016 interview with Rolling Stone, Paul discussed music sales. “The scene has changed, but it doesn’t disturb me, because I had the best of it — selling 100,000 a day on something like ‘Mull of Kintyre.’ I’ve had the joy of that.
“If I don’t have it now, it’s not just about me,” he added. “All of my contemporaries, who are still pretty cool, don’t have it, because things have moved on. And you know what? We had it. And it was great.”

“Saturday Night Live” host Timothée Chalamet took full advantage of his ability to promote his latest movie, the upcoming movie musical, “Wonka,” following the conclusion of the 118-day SAG-AFTRA strike, which had prohibited actors from promoting any work for the studios. In his opening monologue, after first joking that during the strike, all he could talk about was his perfume commercial directed by Martin Scorsese — “when you get that call that Martin Scorsese wants to direct you, the first think you think is, ‘Man, I really hope it’s a perfume commercial’” — Chalamet then broke into song to sing about the strike the tune of “Pure Imagination.
“Come with me, and you’ll be in a world of shameless self-promotion — it’s Ok, I can say…” the actor crooned, before immediately turning to the camera to plug “Wonka’s” premiere on Dec. 15, and playing up his costar Hugh Grant’s “Oompa Loompa dump truck.

Beyoncé has officially kicked off her "Renaissance" World Tour. The megastar launched the highly anticipated event on May 10 in Stockholm, Sweden, kicking off a three-hour set without an opening act. She's set to travel through Europe through June before coming to North America over the summer, completing over 40 dates by the time the tour is through.
The tour is Beyoncé's first since 2018's "On the Run" tour with Jay-Z. Her last solo tour was in support of 2016's "Lemonade," so needless to say, the "Renaissance" tour is a major event - and Forbes has predicted that it could gross up to $2.6 billion by the time it's complete, making it one of the most profitable tours ever. It also marks Beyoncé's first live performance since 2018 other than a one-off appearance in Dubai in January, where she appeared alongside her oldest daughter, Blue Ivy Carter.

Not that long ago, the Disney Channel meant kids’ cartoons and shows about toothy pre-teens with crossover pop careers. Now, Disney+ (Hulu in the US) has a comedy series featuring a character named Jizzlord, and nothing means anything anymore. The term ‘Disney Adult’ may currently describe the kind of person who gets married in a Prince Eric wig on a cruise ship, but if this trend continues, we’re going to need it back.

Ian Broudie sighs deeply, soul-punctured by every mention of “the record”. Gamely but wearily, he lets the warm-up questions about the Lionesses’ win pile up. He was recording an episode of Never Mind the Buzzcocks at the time. He didn’t meet up with David Baddiel and Frank Skinner to celebrate. His phone didn’t go crazy. There’s talk (since confirmed) that they might re-record the pan-cultural phenomenon that is “Three Lions” for the unusual event of the World Cup being in Qatar in December, because “I’d love to have a Christmas football song”.
“I love the women winning it, now I want the blokes to win it three times. It’ll never end for me,” he says. Sigh. “Is this all about that song? Because I’ve got a new album, y’know…”

Kylie Jenner is gorgeous in blue velvet on the streets of Paris for Schiaparelli. Pic credit: @kyliejenner/Instagram
Kylie Jenner served fans another fashion win on the streets of Paris, where she attended Paris Fashion Week.
Yesterday, Kylie rocked a white crochet dress with a plunging neckline and material perfectly crafted to hug her curves.
Today, Kylie opted for another plunging neckline, which she wore this time at the Schiaparelli show.
The reality TV star had her glam team with her, including longtime makeup artist and friend Ariel Tejada, who keeps Kylie looking good at all times.
Kylie was feeling blue in the velvet dress, which she paired with a black choker necklace.
Kylie’s dangerously low neckline allowed her statement necklace to take center stage. A stylish black pendant in the shape of a human heart fell from the black choker.

Beyoncé is the dark-mode version of the pop megastar — an upgrade that has now become the norm. The Houston luminary is sleeker, cooler, and Blacker, making everything about the way we viewed things a hot-minute ago seem bland, primitive, and flat-out draining. Indeed, the 28-time Grammy winner may be the only sovereign of pop to have truly evolved artistically while also expanding an enormous commercial empire. Michael Jackson became less cool with each more-ambitious release, going from the effortless elegance of Off the Wall to the forced spectacle of Bad.

The Max Original film premieres on Feb. 10.
Also coming in February is the “Raised by Wolves” Season 2 premiere on Feb. 3, with new episodes released weekly, as well as the season premiere of “Last Week Tonight with John Oliver” on Feb. 20. For its list of new releases of February 2022, HBO Max is bringing back one of its biggest original series.
The Ridley Scott-directed sci-fi epic Raised by Wolves helped launch HBO Max back in 2020 and now it’s finally back for another season. Raised by Wolves season 2 premieres with three episodes on Feb. 3. This season will continue the conflict between future atheists and theists on a remote planet, while two androids raise some kids.
February 2022 also sees the end of another, more recent HBO Max hit. Peacemaker airs its finale on Feb. 17. Thankfully that same day sees the premiere of another exciting original. Dream Raider is a Mandarin-language sci-fi thriller that carries some big Inception vibes.
There aren’t many original movies of note this month, but there are a lot of recent hits coming to HBO Max as library titles. Nightmare Alley arrives on Feb. 1, followed by The Many Saints of Newark on Feb.

The fatal shooting of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins by Alec Baldwin last week on the Santa Fe set of Rust wasn’t the first time First Assistant Director David Hills worked on a film where a weapon discharged unexpectedly.
Back in late 2019, a gun went off on the Arkansas set of Freedom’s Path, where Halls was an Ad. The incident caused a member of the Rocket Soul Studios-produced movie’s sound department to jump back from the close-by blast.
“First of all, our condolences go out to everyone affected by the recent tragic event in New Mexico,” said one of the producers of Freedom’s Path to Deadline today.
“I can confirm that Dave Halls was fired from the set of Freedom’s Path in 2019 after a crew member incurred a minor and temporary injury when a gun was unexpectedly discharged,” he added. “Halls was removed from set immediately after the prop gun discharged.

Rebecca Hall’s “Passing” won the U.S. Narrative Feature Jury Award at the 33rd LGBTQ film festival NewFest in New York City.
The jury statement reads, “A chance encounter between two friends kicks off this film’s exploration of race and sexuality in 1920s America. The film’s expressive cinematography, beautiful performances, and clear directorial vision all come together in this devastating story of destabilized identity.”
The Documentary Feature Jury Award went to “Miguel’s War,” directed by Eliane Raheb. The jury described the doc “as emotionally captivating as it is visually stimulating.

“Dave Halls worked on two films for Blumhouse Television in 2019, and was not rehired after that time,” a Blumhouse TV spokesperson told Deadline today of the First Ad. Two years ago, Halls was on the crew of the “Pure” and “Culture Shock” episodes of the Blumhouse TV anthology series Into the Dark, which was streamed on Hulu. Blumhouse would not say why Halls was not hired again. However, a complaint was lodged on Pure against the First Ad for a lack of respect for the personal space of fellow crew members and other co-workers, we have learned.

Audiences are finally starting to feel seen in TV. This May marks Mental Health Awareness Month, and what better time to celebrate shows that actively work to spotlight depression, obsessive compulsive disorder, bipolar disorder and other mental health struggles? For series like This Is Us and You're The Worst, anxiety and clinical depression are portrayed in honest—and recurring—ways, not so much as plot points, but as realistic parts of three-dimensional characters. Girls and Pure, both on HBO, harness the real-life experiences of their respective screenwriters with obsessive compulsive disorder, while Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, Modern...

Welcome to this review of Ring Of Honor’s 19th Anniversary card, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and thou shalt not steal! So sayeth unto the word of God! The lord beith my shepherd! Unbegone from my tendered loins sprayed the pride of man. Whoeth so ever pulleth mine thumpeded heart like the beating of the great cockadoodledoo! Jumpeth did I atop the swimming shark and sayeth I unto you…ehhhhhh! We come now to the threshold of this most honorable ring. For 19 years haveth this mighty league of men and women braved so low a sport of false acts. Where hath been so deserved a hand upon the shoulder? Where have been the words of praise without the tongue everso forked? Why must this land run dry when greener grass to only those astride the path is bathed in the sweet nectar of the morning pour?...

The pilot for ABC’s Epic, a one-hour drama that will reinvent classic Disney fairytales for a new audience, has cast its first lead role.
Penned by Once Upon a Time scribe Brigitte Hales, who will serve as an executive producer alongside Ouat co-creators Adam Horowitz and Eddie Kitsis, Epic is described as “a romantic anthology series set in the fairytale universe of Disney and taking place in a Disney-like Enchanted Forest.” Sources previously told TVLine that the potential series — which is not set in the Once Upon a Time universe — will present all-new characters and “new spins on the classic archetypes.
