The writers have been able to construct a believable storyline in this episode except when it comes to the apartment Bumpy rented overlooking the social club.
Even if the apartment could have been rented without any of Chin's people knowing, it's right across the street on a low enough level for a line of sight shot. Even raising a window with Chin's guys standing out front of the club should have been enough to alert them. If you're standing guard, any movement in the range of your peripheral vision would catch your eye.
Also, the club is in an Italian neighborhood and all the adjoining streets and alleys would be subject to the view of the neighborhood's residents. Someone seeing black men entering a building would have been remarked upon by those neighbors.
That's the kind of thing that turns fiction into fantasy. Good writers like the ones working on Godfather of Harlem should try harder to avoid magical thinking like this.
