Jemma and fitz are the most realistic relationship couple on tv and this episode displays that perfectly. The writing the dialogue and acting were all top notch. For a show where unbelievable things happen I 1000% believe fitz and Jemma are a couple. Loved it thru and thru most bottle episodes like this for shows wouldn't be good but the acting by the characters and dialogue was so entertaining and perfectly delivered it was very enjoyable. Also loving the comedy this season and I loved how they took it back to season 1 with them getting recruited. Once again nice wardrobe and acting and dialogue to make all this believable. Fitz and Simmons (not sure the actors names) nail there performances x10

I seriously cannot fathom how Iain or Elizabeth haven't been nominated for an award yet. Someone needs to pay attention because Jemma and Fitz are two of the best played characters in any show I've ever seen hands down. This episode just proves that again. These two work together so well and you believe every second they are on the screen. This episode brings out every emotion while watching. I can only hope this season continues to keep this up!
Wow, just wow

Perfect..or perfectly flawed
noorea-8514722 June 2019
I watched this episode twice back to back because it was too much to take in, but the more I think about it the more I love it, It is a character study about two of the most tortured characters on TV and it holds no punches, but it is also uplifting and has many funny moments. It addresses issues of processing pain and trauma in a fun creative way, it shows that people don't need to be perfect, that we are allowed to have the dark parts of our souls and come out stronger for it , this is the thing that surprised me the most, that the episode I expected to be a dour exercise in misery turned into a beautiful love letter to the characters and fans! The performances by Iain and Elizabeth were off the charts I have not seen such a range and powerful performances packed into one forty minutes episode before.
This episode may not be indeed perfect, it is perfectly flawed just like the characters and their love is!
Perfect Episode of Imperfections

Definitely one of the best episodes of the series. FitzSimmons's love is so haunting, challenging, tragic, devastatingly painful and yet so bittersweet, odds-defying, courageous, powerful, perfectly imperfect, UNSTOPPABLE and selflessly beautiful! Love isn't perfect, but it's their flaws and imperfections that make their love so perfect. Their imperfections perfected each other. This two are and always will be the best comic book couple ever and I highly doubt there's gonna be another brilliantly written relationship like FitzSimmons for the rest of time.

This is by far one of the best episodes of the whole show. I have always been fascinated by the idea of mind palaces/prisons since I started watching Sherlock a few years ago. It's just a really interesting idea! The way that this episode did it was very interesting. The way that Fitz and Simmon's fears manifested themselves was interesting and I love that they were fighting the other's demons. Of course, I loved seeing Coulson. I loved finally really seeing everone's reaction to Fitz's death. I loved hearing the nickname "Turbo" again. I've always loved Mack and Fitz's relationship. I loved the memory scenes that also we're more than memories at the same time. We got to see kind of the beginning of Fitz-Simmons relationship! Who wouldn't love that?! The ONLY thing that I absolutely found stupid (and why I gave it a 9 instead of 10) was the fact that instead of having to face their fears, they found them making out. They made such a big deal about facing everything together in the containment cell and didn't show them following through on it because they didn't have anything to face anymore.
This show at its best

This episode, the writers outdid themselves.
This show excels at telling really puzzling stories, have fun and make it work really well. It doesn't work all the time, but when it does, we get a gem like this.
And it is delivered by the best couple in SHIELD's galaxy!

Great episode to remind us of the power of Fitzsimmons

One of my favorite episodes in AoS is the solo episode with Gemma alone in space. Such a contrast to the pacing of the show and provides great character development.
This episode is similar but still unique - it explores the individual pasts of both Gemma and Fitz as well as their relationship. There are definitely some bones to uncover.
We get a reminder of the unbreakable bond and love of FitzSmmons, all while building seamlessly into the story line.
These solo (in this case duo) episodes are gems.

Wow, this is my favourite episode of all so far, Jemma and Fitz showing a complete range of all acting skills, truly fantastic performances. A must watch, some happy, sad and terrifying moments all in 42 minutes!! Well done!!!!

There have certainly been some memorable FitzSimmons moments and episodes, and while this was different and fresh and original, it won't go down as a classic.
Better than the slipper slope this season has been on, but not that great.

Amazing how this episode is so highly rated! I rarely write episode reviews but this was so bad I had to write something! It could be condensed into 5 min for the sake of the story and that would be more than enough. By now we are all used to strange things (pun intended) in AoS but a terror Jemma out of The Ring?? C'mon...
Wow!

I found myself talking to the episode! So much laughing, shouting and WHAT-ing. The chemistry between Iain and Elizabeth is palpable. This episode had an amazing feel to it and I love the "You're so British" comment. A laugh out loud moment for sure. Can't wait for more!
Best thing that happened to TV

Usually I don't like to hype things up, but this episode was one of the best work I've ever seen. Period.
Ian and Elizabeth are amazing actors and I'm always looking forward to their parts in every episode because they never disappoint. But their acting skills in this particular episode was on a whole new level.
As close to perfect as you can get

An interesting episode in an enjoyable season

I'm not generally a fan of Marvel productions, movies or television.
Agents of SHIELD is my one indulgence in this genre.
I like how the show continues to reinvent itself in terms of style, and appreciate the creativity of the plots.
What I also like, which I find lacking in Marvel movies, is an attitude which isn't self-serious, but which also isn't painfully ironic and pseudo hip about it all.
A gift box of emotions

I wholeheartedly enjoyed this episode. It was entertaining throughout and I didn't know what turn it would take until the very end. But if you don't enjoy the Fitz-Simmons characters, then this episode will be less appealing to you.
Well that was excruciating

One of the worst episodes in the history of TV. Tedious, boring. Endless screaming and whining. The movie Who's Afraid of Virginia Wolf did it a hundred times better. This season is already worse than S1 and it may be time to chuck this once ok show into the trash where it clearly belongs now. The only two good characters left are Mack and Daisy. Any scene not featuring one of them is a chore to watch. Really praise FirzSimmons but they are almost always incredibly annoying. The nerds here hysterically praised this dreck episode and it's hack writing. Talk about having zero taste. I'm guessing the so called writers are huge fans of Legion; another super crap show full of endless loony tunes propagated as art for pretenscious fools. And yet another season of this drivel? This heap of garbage would have longed been cancelled if it wasn't for the MCU. If it doesn't improve this terrible direction it's gone then surely the ratings must drop. There can only be so many delusional fans......
Simply astounding

This episode is the epitome of the frankly unbelievable acting by Elizabeth and Iain. It's at times gutbustingly funny (the hilarious and manly yelp at Jemma's 7 ½-year old version, you're so English and Fitz referring to Ringu when Sadako Jemma appears), but at the same time scary and touching and Simply. Incredible. Tv.
Best ep!!

If you're not a Fitzsimmons fan, then I totally get this may not be your cup of tea. But if you're not a Fitzsimmons fan, then quite frankly I don't understand it, and this episode is proof! These two characters and their relationship is probably my favourite aspect to this show, other than the general found family vibes. This episode perfectly sums up everything that makes these characters so compelling - broken and traumatised, but fighting for love and hope (all the while bickering like an old married couple).
Yes, the plot is basically halted for this entire episode, but who was that interested in the plot for this season anyway? (Rewatching, I basically skipped through most of season 6, and this was the only episode I watched and enjoyed fully.) And with how complicated the whole Fitz-married-Jemma-but-died-so-she-found-an-earlier-version-of-him situation is, there has to be some kind of plot pause for Fitz's character to deal with learning all this, and this episode does it beautifully.
Hilarious, charming, emotional; this episode balances all of these without ruining the tone at all. Iain and Elizabeth are FABULOUS here - truly at their best - and little Jemma is adorable (that first gasp from Fitz at 7 year old Jemma cracks me up every time). Altogether, one of the best AOS episodes and one of my favourites!
