Phil goes to La La Land

I've enjoyed S10 overall, and this is another good episode.

The Cam/Mitch story was well played, and it's nice to see them using the character of Lilly more.

While I think they've been paired together a bit too often this year I enjoyed the Gloria/Jay story, with Ed O'Neil on top form.

The best story by far though was the one involving Pepper and Phil, and Nathan Lane is one of those great guest stars who 'Modern Family' can call upon year on year, which is testament to the quality of it.

I agree with Claire, I'm not mad about the transformation in Alex either, but that's the direction the writers have taken the character I guess.

I enjoyed this episode.

An enjoyable episode

A good spread of ridiculousness from Phil and Pepper. Good story line with Lilly. They can do more with that...though they probably won't.

Alex plot was forgettable...but didn't detract from the rest.

When's the last time I gave a MF episode a 7.

It's been such a long time....

Very good episode

Funniest episode of season 10. Bill is very funny and I hope to see more of him! Pepper and Phil work really well together. Nice also to see Lily having a bigger role, Hope next episodes could focus more on happenings in kids life. Season 10 is focusing too much on "adults" in the family.

Ahhh Pepper

Warning: Spoilers
Every time they have Pepper Saltzman (Nathan Lane) on the show you know it's going to be a good show, and this episode is no different. Pairing him with Phil is absolutely perfect and their scenes together in this are funny, sweet, touching and it's nice to see some Pepper vulnerability. The homage to Lala Land was absolutely wonderful and makes me laugh/smile every time. It's a shame it hasn't been done earlier but I suppose you need to wait until the story fits and doesn't feel forced. I enjoyed the Cam/Mitch/Lily story as well (shout out to Ronaldo who is always enjoyable). It was funny, cringy, and relatable. We've all gone through that with our parents and our children.
