Most underrated song of all time.

This song is perfect for people that do not know, or do not like Pat Benatar as an artist. This song was completely 360° different from her first release "Heartbreaker". Near heavy metal sounds and angry break up type vibes, One love is a song about the hardship of people living in Africa. Although released in the United States in July 1988, it was released as her fourth single January 8 1089, from 8th studio LP, Wideawake in dreamland. The song was dramatically different than any song Pat Benatar ever did. In this song, she speaks of the hardships of people in Africa, and the importance of all of us uniting together. The song did not chart in the US. Highly unusual for Pat Benatar. Most of her singles entered the billboard chart as "high entries" we belong, entered #45 and would go on to peek at number five. Invincible entered the chart at number 61 and peaked at number 10. Fire and Ice, 64. Shadows of the night, 69. Looking for a stranger & promises in the dark 71. Sex as a weapon, and you better run, 72. Little too late. And hit me with your best shot 73. All fired up, 75. Heartbreaker 76 love is a battlefield 78. The one low entry, we live for love debuted number 88, but still had the same chart success as heartbreaker. One love did make the charts in the US, however it had moderate success in Africa peeking at number 59.

All fired up, would be her final charting single in the US peeking at 19. Her next album "true love" was in similar vein to what Linda Ronstadt Jazzy, soft, love songs.

Pat Benatar and guitarist, songwriter Neil Geraldo married since 1982, We're actually a rock band similar to Led Zeppelin or Rolling Stones. Pat Benatar was signed to a record deal in the late 70s. She was searching for a guitarist. Who happened to be future husband Neil Giraldo. Pat wanted to be a rock band. It was too late because the record deal had already signed her under her divorced name. So, while everybody in the world is thinking, Pat Benatar is a solo female rock artist the truth is they were a rock band, unable to change the name due to the record contract.

They are still active today. They tour every year. They are under the nameplate of Pat Benatar and Neil Giraldo. Once they left chrysalis records, they started their own record label and was able to go under the correct name. The rest of the band from the 80s does not tour with them.
