Very good acting. Tommy wishes he was this handsome though

The acting in this is really good and the actor playing Tommy Mottola is insanely handsome. I can see why they cast him though. There's a slight resemblance however he can act and sound just like Tommy. Very impressive. Someone did his research.

I would have to say this is one of the best biographical movies I've watched. Very well filmed, directed and edited. Well done to everyone involved.

I loved watching this

There was so much I didn't know about Mariah Carey before I watched this. She didn't have an easy time growing up and making her way to becoming one of the top selling music artists in history that's for sure. I loved watching this. And not to discredit anyone but the director and cinematographer deserve an award. During some of the Tommy Mottola scenes in particular I felt like I was watching a 90's Scorsese movie with a young Al Pacino or Andy Garcia playing that role. That was some great acting from the guy playing Tommy Mottola.

Yep, she's a diva!

I love biographies. Wasn't sure what to expect, but after watching it, thought it contradicted itself constantly, and was more of 'poor Mariah, not a diva but a woman with a diagnosis'. It felt more of an excuse to make her seem not responsible for her erratic behaviour.

She says herself in an interview about her failed film 'Glitter' that she's been acting all her life - since she was young, and wants to prove she can act. Yet reports on the set of her unprofessional behaviour tell us differently. If she'd been acting - does she mean professionally? She should know that you are a professional when it comes to making a film.

Mariah states, she felt I didn't fit in as a child, was not special, not pretty and didn't make friends. Yet in another clip we're told she was popular, make friends easily and sang with her best friend. The stories from people who knew her just seemed to be excusing her behaviour, which is understandable, but stories from others told a different story. Did she really play her records when her twins were being born by c section? So what? Not sure why the brother was part of the film, he brother states her paranoia was real - a car was following them - er driving along a busy road there would be cars behind them.

I didn't really take too much notice of the 'stories', she just seemed to be someone who had a good voice, made a lot of money - made even more money when being dumped by Virgin for £28 million!! The call to 911 was the result of a temper tantrum rather than an episode - but who knows.

All I remember from the film is seeing a woman with too much money, too much time on her hands and one who seemed to like skimpy clothes and having her two best friends out on show at all times. Even in the latest video, when she's older and larger, the two friends are there, popping out for all to see.

Excellent in every way

I really enjoyed watching this. I thought the acting and the cinematography was excellent. Overall it's a very well put together docudrama. Especially in terms of production value it is possibly the best I've seen so far on television.

Knowing the facts on Mariah Carey's life I can vouch for the accuracy of the story which is being told as well.

Very interesting choice of title too. Mariah certainly had to deal with her demons and drama in spite of being a diva.

Great Mariah actress

I have seem quite a few mock-umentaries on MJ & Whitney Houston. I never would have imagined actually seeing a good one. I am a huge fan so I knew 90% of Mariah's story but the intricate details and the RARE footage made this an awesome Real Life story. Speaking to her family was a great move.

I really liked the documentary, it trully show us all seh had to go through during her career, and gave me a great image of example, she is a great person and people always misjudges her!! I hope people now understand she is also a human and had big problems as anyone else!! From now on #ProceedWithCaution whenever u wanna talk rubbish about her!

Not Mariah Carey but Jessie Castro

Who put Mariah Carey as a cast member? It's not her, it's Jessie Castro.
