Revell Models released a 1/32 scale model of Miss America in 1972.
Cox Manufacturing sponsored Miss America from 1970-1975 and produced a scaled down gas powered line control model airplane sold worldwide. This created a huge following of kids and young adults. The model was re-released in 1990-91.
On May 27, 1972, Cox Manufacturing sponsored Miss America to establish a world speed record over a recognized course from Los Angeles, CA to Washington, DC. The average speed was 362.35 M.P.H. over the 2,298.07 mile course with an elapsed time of 6hrs. 18mins. 05sec.
