Inbetweeners for the blm generation
omendata7 June 2021
The usual formula, replete with language of the gutter, jungle-speak and totally inappropriate, mad scenarios; but you know what? It works for me!

I have to be totally honest, I found it rather hilarious and so glad to be watching series 2.

First episode of series 2 with the boxing match marks the welcome return of a second series and it is just as good, if not more funny than the first. The scene with the black police officer and the stolen phone had me in stitches; relevant but very funny. What is it with all these low reviews? Have people all had a sense of humour bypass operation or has covid removed their funnybone or "is it cos they is black man?"

Nice one lads!

Promising - Had Some Good Laughs.

Looking at the reviews so far, it seems this is a controversial series. I really enjoyed much of each episode, though there were a few spells that coasted. I think it has justified a full series.

What a gem. Great characters and some really funny moments. My wife and I loved it and hope there will be more episodes to come.

If you love PhoneShop, you'll love this!

The main characters remind me of a young version of PhoneShop's characters Ashley & Jerwayne. Chavtastic and funny as hell.

A desperate attempt at humour.

Saw the trailers, thought it looked quite funny.

Tuned in for the first episode and boy what a let down.

These days now why do series makers think that throwing in buckets of bad language and they think it's comedy. Well I can see why there is a massive decline in sitcoms.

The first episode seemed to drag on, even though it was only on for 30 minutes.

Don't bother with this poor attempt at a comedy series, it was painful to watch.

I rated this a two but I was tempted to rate it a one and that was an attempt.

Funny

Awesome show loved it, Russell from dead pixels was hilarious. Characters are well done and very relatable to a council estate lifestyle with added comedy value. Would love another series . Great writing

Whoever commissioned this...
pauliewalnuts-4935623 May 2019
Like other reviewers, saw the trailer and thought it might be ok...how wrong was I...the only reason I've given it 2 is because the frontman has potential, whoever wrote this needs retiring....absolute dire "comedy"...

Rubbish
Don't bother. Trying to push the boundaries but sadly politically correct rubbish.

Just for the front man
pauliewalnuts-4935620 May 2019
Saw the trailers, thought it looked interesting...how wrong I was...brutally poor comedy and the only reason it gets a 2 is because of the front man...

I don't know. I don't get it. Low grade, horrible, banal. Perhaps there's a British audience for it but anyone with more than a single brain cell walks away. I did.

Unknown comedy

I was very surprised by this, some episodes are better than others very like everything but I had at least one good belly laugh per episode.

As a "comedy", this doesn't deliver

Mario (David Mumeni): "You think I'm funny?"

This viewer, after watching the first episode: "No."

(Amazing that this dire "comedy" appears to be co-written by the principal writer of the truly excellent PhoneShop.)

Well written

At first I wasn't sure I liked it. But as with all new series you must persevere. I'm glad I did as I came to appreciate Sliced for it's sneakily good writing albeit in a caricature style. In particular you warm to the characters Joshua and Naomi, which I kind of think is the point. Theo's acting as Ricky does grate at times but he seems to settle into the role as the series progress. It has important set pieces of how otherness affects individuals that are set apart by societal attitudes. It highlights this in a way that makes it so 'oh yes that's so obviously not the right way to treat someone' obvious. That's the absurd comedy edge right there. I would like another slice of Sliced please.

Just doesn't land well
neillgudgin4 June 2021
When series 2 showed up on my series link none of us could remember what it was. That is not a good sign. I am half way through episode one and am seriously thinking about watching an episode of Phone Shop to cheer myself up. Sliced just lands flat with almost every gag. Damn shame. Phil's earlier work had me in stitches, constantly. The actors don't really help in this case as they seem a bit shallow, immature and unbelievable. It's not their age, more their lack of experience perhaps. I am clearly not the target market but good comedy should work for anyone.

Series link deleted..... Now searching for Phone Shop..
