- Beginning of the journey in Saint-Montan, a medieval village of Ardèche: Sophie meets Raphaël Pommier, a winemaker and they walk through the paved streets of the village and reach the fortress with its ramparts: then they meet Christophe Mathon, a stonemason ad stone cutter who has restored parts of the castle and later they go to the cellar of Raphaël (estate of Notre Dame de Colignac): then Raphaël and Sophie are canoeing in the Gorges of the Ardèche river, they arrive at Vallon Pont d'Arch , a beautiful natural arch and meet two gendarmes of the French National Gendarmerie (Pierre and Jean-Pierre who are taking care for the tourists who navigate on the river): they cross the " Charlemagne rapids" : they see little beaches and arrive at the Saint-Marcel cave (about 60 kilometers of galleries). the speleologist Nicolas Bransolle leads them to the Robert de Joly hall, where they can see little water bassins (called "gours": then Rphaël invites Nicolas and Sophie to taste a wine which is been maintained in the the cave.After that Sophie is in Annonay where she meets Benjamin Cleyet-Marrel, the hot air balloon producer and Jean-Philippe Odouard (Mongolfières et Cie): on the morning Sophie travels with a hot air balloon with Jean-Philippe and a couple who is makes a first flight, Benjamin in another hot air balloon i also flying over the region of Annonyay.After that Sophie is in Pont d'Aubenas where she meets Grégory Couvert : the singers of "Le Petit Comptoir" are singing songs and young students make an interview with the singer at the associative radio RC of Aubenas: later Sophie and Grégory go the Beatrix ice cream parlor and taste the ice creams made by Pierre and his family.Then Sophie travels to Peaugres where she visits the Safari of Peaugres (80 hectares , about 130 species of animals), with Cécile Dubois Sophie sees ostriches, bears and rhinoceros.Later Sophie travels to Jaunac, where Arnaud Lievre receives her and Sophie sleeps in a tent in the middle of a meadow. Then Sophie travels to Saint-JOseph des Bains , there is a brass band playing music and Sophie meets Virginie Alix who sells goat cheeses: they taste "caillettes" pork meat balls and later they travel to Sainte-Eulalie where they meet Denis Alix, Virginie's father: there there is a cows (Montbéliard and Aboindance cows) and goats farm: near the farm there is the "Gerbier du Jonc", a touristic place: Sophie and Virginie pick violets to make a violet jam: later Virginie and Sophie go to the Loire river where they meet fishermen and Sophie manages to catch a little trout and gives it back to the river. Besides we see zooms about the new inhabitants of Ardéche ( Melyssandre Pouch coming from Tourcoing, Marie , a retiree coming from Bittany, Isabelle Grasset, the sculptor coming from Paris and Kate and Nicolas, two opera singers coming from Autralia, about Stéphan, the speleologist about Julien Rochette, the fishing guide, about the motorcycles, buses and airplanes collectors, about the idealistic projects ( organic farm of Pierre Rhabi, the "Ardelaine cooperative" and the hamlet of "Viel Audon" and its renewal, about the Gallic village managed by Magalle and Benjamin Margotton and about the clown Alain Reynaud and his space in Bourg-Sint-Andéol for circus artists.—zutterjp48
