Reading the reviews on here I expected absolute garbage, surprisingly it's quite good. Light hearted and daft but worth a watch.

Schwimmer is brilliant

I enjoyed this! I do understand SOME of the criticism but I thought it was entertaining and funny and Schwimmer was great - his physical and facial comedy is still properly funny. Good show and easy to watch, give it a go

Warning: Spoilers
First episode, American man comes in to liasson with English office. Orders everyone around, attempts to change how office is run in his first hour. The boss tells him to stop, that she is in charge. The moment she leaves, he tells them to stop working, wants a team building exercise. He was so obnoxious, I can't watch any more.
Some laugh out loud moments

I don't get all the bad reviews on here, I expected to be disappointed but was pleasantly surprised by this and glad there might be a second series. We binged watched the whole series and there were definitely some laugh out loud moments throughout.

Seriously? We need Zero star Reviews.

How did this even get into production? It's really not good. I realise it's supposed to be a comedy so are we supposed to be amused at how bad it actually is? The references to the 'Office' are ridiculous it doesn't even come close although it tries sometimes unless they mean the US version which does have it's own admirers.
Those that have written it's 'funny' must have an American sense of humour because the humour is pathetic slapstick and the English mostly prefer more intelligent comedy. It's certainly not for me.

Hilarious!

We just finished watching this series and loved it. I don't understand all of the low reviews?! It has so many laugh out loud moments. David Schwimmer and Nick Mohammed's odd friendship is hilarious. My only wish is that the episodes were a bit longer. I'm really looking forward to the second series.
Give it a chance!

Plagued by Poor Writing, Flat Jokes
guacamoledeath23 August 2020
Warning: Spoilers
What's with all the sex jokes? Are the writers mentally stunted, or still in high school? They're not even funny. The British cast is great, but Schwimmer's character strictly talks about stripping and bedding his coworkers.
Furthermore, it would be more appealing if Schwimmer's character had the same personality flaws, but actually had a talent, a vital skill that would force the Brits to begrudgingly keep him on staff. But no, he's just a sexist ass with flat jokes.

It gets better as it goes on.

Not the best show out there, but certainly funny

David Schwimmer fans (who also like British humour!) will love it!
marcus-1974313 June 2021
Such a funny programme. Clearly the style of humour is not to everyone's taste based on some of the scores, but if you're usually a fan of subtle dry British humour, think The Office (UK version) and This Country, then you will almost certainly enjoy it. Even more so if you're also a fan of David Schwimmer. He is absolutely brilliant in this, with some of his classic physical comedy traits thrown in with the brilliant script and excellent characters. I also like the way they've played around with different camera angles including candid CCTV stuff, and the snappy editing and quirky soundtrack adds to the appeal.
David schwimmer saves it

Absolute Trash
vintagegeek27 July 2020
This is probably the worst thing I've seen in years. Every character is made out to be a fool. Take the worst role you seen David Schwimmer in and multiply by ten. There are no plots. Just a constant barrage of irrational statements made by Schwimmer. I can't believe someone paid to make this trash.
Funny!

So, so, so profoundly bad. So bad I used "so" 3 times to describe it (plus that 4th one)
loganp-296302 August 2020
I'm writing this review because I saw the trailer of this and it was so profoundly bad it negatively impacted the viewing experience of the show I was currently watching, Archer. I now realize, after reading they are nsa agents (not simply degenerates flailing their arms around, screaming), they were simply pandering to the audience of another comedy spy show. The two shows, however, seem miles apart in levels of "intelligence," and ha ha funny joke for your title which truly shows the classic joke of the oxymoron. Perhaps this show is not this terrible, perhaps the person making the trailer had just been laid off and weas getting back at the studio by incorporating only the worst jokes. Then the executives thought "oh well who is going to watch it anyway, approve."
Good job living in mediocrity David Schwimmer after your success. He's rich who can blame him? Now he'll just be forgotten in about 70 years when everyone who watched Friends has died. So in reality I'll be as remembered as David Schimmer's profoundly unfunny self. Unless he looks in the mirror once this show is likely canceled and asks himself "what am I doing with my life?"
Well, who am I kidding? Two Broke Girls was on the air for multiple seasons, this show should be fine for a while. And David Schwimmer will laugh all the way to the bank. Nothing likely the classic Hollywood happy ending, am I right?
One more thing, I'm not some guy just trying to knock Hollywood down. Some truly beautiful things get put out in American cinema. This, however, is not one. Some people in Hollywood deserve their money by creating such culturally important works. This, however, is not one that deserves any amount of money anywhere in anyone's pockets.

Watched on a whim and found a funny and smart British comedy!

This show would probably not be appreciated by audiences outside of the UK perhaps, as the comedy is based around a team of employees at a cyber security government agency based in a town in southern England.
The writing is funny, nuanced, and weird. The cast of characters are lovely, offbeat and awkward. Nick Mohammed who writes the show also stars as one of the main characters. He nails it with a likeable and naive employee desperate to make friends and impress. Add in the addition of the unexpected comedy talent of David Swimmer as the brusk all American NSA agent and you've got some funny stuff and some great physical comedy too.
It didn't really grab me until the second to third episode and then I was hooked. Season 2 carried on the enjoyment and laughs and I'm definitely invested for a third season. Fingers crossed.
Worth a watch.
