Cheesy and generic fighting shounen.

Although it's not bad, I really don't recommend this series. Yes, the dubbing as well as the design fits well with the personality of the characters, the animation is ok considering its staff and the action is really brutal but not raw or morbid thanks to the design (although sometimes it is involuntary comedy when you see villains move weird when they get hit)

Villains are fine but not memorable (Stardust Crusaders did better). The protagonists, Hara and Tesu, fun to see interact because of their contrasting personalities. Tesu is a flat character, but Hara has a round development and a great character arc even if it is relatively short.

Although I still cannot recommend this series due to plot conveniences such as typical power ups, stupid power levels at the end and some saved for the plot to progress, it is even worse due to Tesu's power which is immortality and will not die NO MATTER WHAT. It takes a lot of tension off the series and also generates false tension with its supposed deaths. But the main reason is that it is unbearably CURSI, my God, outside the conflict of Hara with his grandmother and his temper, the rest of the conflict is childish, stupid and repetitive. ARGH IS ANNOYING (and the presentation of the series reinforces this). Yes, fighting shonens are cheesy but this is above standard, it's like Fairy tail.

The series does not stand out for anything either and being cheesy makes it unbearable so you better look at something like Kimetsu no Yaiba or Jojo's if you want action.
