No boring at all but so lame....
searchanddestroy-128 July 2020
Warning: Spoilers
I am not bored by this series, with an over the top editing, but the screenplay is so lousy, with holes sufficiently wide to let a liner pass through. For instance, how the hell the aliens, who look like mechanical dogs, all from a TERMINATOR movie, how can they take the babies from the hospital? In their arms? ha ha ha And in the next episode, it is not explained how the group of the scientist and his ex wife happen to meet the group of the mother of the teenager. The other group, with the Black man and the baby keeper, yes, because they meet by hazard, but what about the young mother and her 15 year old son? It is not explained. And Lea Drucker plays in a very weird manner. When she speaks, only her lips move, not her face. Not all the time, but most of it. Very strange and especially annoying. Maybe SHE IS THE ROBOT, and certainly not only teh aliens. ha ha ha

A First Rate, Thrilling Sci Fi Series
mzand-751-53957211 June 2021
Ignore the negative reviews. They were written by people either too dumb to understand the show or just filled with bile. This updated War of the Worlds Is a smart, well written and well acted, edge of your seat, science-fiction thriller. If you're a sci-fi fan the show is for you. Watch it and judge for yourself.

Robo Dogs versus Losers
Johnny_West9 March 2020
So the aliens let out some robotic dogs that are the CGI from the 1990s. Not exactly cutting edge special effects. The dumbest people on earth are the only ones that survived the first attack by the invisible aliens, so it matches up well. The survivors fighting against cheap alien technology.

It gets worse from there. People sneaking around trying not to alert the alien dogs (Jurassic Park movies have done that lameness with the raptors). The big scene for this episode is whether or not the losers stay and fight for the babies in the hospital.

Just deadly boring drama that fails at every level and action that is ponderously lame and pathetic. Any episode of Chopped, Sherlock Holmes, or Antiques Roadshow has more action and more aliens than this festering turd.

Warning: Spoilers
Wanna be Anne Hathaway has of course a love affair with the Sudanese refugee, who earlier tried to take her hostage. Sure thing. And one person here, must be one of the writing staff, calls this a well written thriller....

According to him/her I am full of bile when I call this tedious piece of nonsense what it is - crap. A first year film school student could analyse this script and find more holes in it than craters on the moon. And Episode 4 is just bad. And what is even sadder - from now on it really goes downhill.

They should have saved this money and instead continued Dark Matter! That would have been something.

Boring and slow
Albosaloser12 July 2020
Could have been so much better, a slow and dull period piece drama that leaves the audience wishing all the main characters would die and be eaten by the aliens so at least there would be some action..don't waste you time.

Slow going, will it ever pick up?
iaingking6 July 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Really slow going episode, as are all the others to be fair, you just want to keep watching to give it a chance.

It's one of those series you can quite easily do something else and have this on in the background and not miss that much, people wandering round aimlessly, a girl who's blind and get's her sight back and looses it again periodicly, boring Robo-Dogs who look like something out of 'Toys R Us' and backed up by CGI from the 90's.

These Robotic alien dogs seem to like taking head shots at people, yet nobody seems to wear any head protection, even the military are dumb.

You could quite easily cut 5mins from each episode and just make one from it all, thus cutting out the slow storyline, so little action it is pretty lame.
