The episode end credits feature "Don't Fear The Reaper" by Blue Öyster Cult, which was a featured song on the 1st episode from the 1994 TV miniseries based on the same book and lyrics from the song feature before the opening chapter of the book. Stephen King has cited it as one of the songs he listened to whilst writing the novel.
When Flagg is looking out of a window at Caesar's Palace, he would be in the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino to have that view.
When Harold Lauder visits Fran and Stu in their house he brings a bottle of wine he found in his own house. When it's on the table you can see the brand is Castle 19. Castle is a clear reference to the town Castle Rock which appears in a lot of stories of Stephen King such as Needful Things, Cujo and The Dead Zone. The number 19 is very important in the Dark Tower series, which is a very magical number in a lot of King novels.
