"Oneohtrix Point Never: The Pure and the Damned" is a really long title for a pretty short film as this one here stays under the 5-minute mark and is a little add-on to the Safdie Brothers movie Good Time. This is also why you will see Robert Pattinson on some occasions in here, actually a lot. If you really loved the movie this is linked to, then maybe check this one out. You cannot really do a whole lot wrong at this running time. I personally was not impressed though and I did like the film. But this also has to do with the music here. I don't know what's up with the artist(s) Oneohtrix Point Never, but the singing here is by Iggy Pop. Maybe OPN come up with the instrumental parts? I am not sure, I have never heard of them. Anyway, you do not only hear Iggy Pop, but also see him and I guess that is why he is just too famous to be skipped, visually as well. But you only see an animated version of him that honestly reminded me more of his most recent zombie turn in Jim Jarmusch's new movie. Maybe it is just me. Overall, this one does not add enough of interest to Good Time I'd say and the audible part is even weaker, which is why I give this little project a thumbs-down and don't recommend checking it out unless you bought the DVD/BluRay and then you probably like the film enough to also appreciate this short.
